Ok, it looks like crystals under polarised light.

??? "Crystals" would have been more than enough! I was about to award this to syphon for "polished stones" as the closest guess, even though they aren't polished, they are au naturale crystals. And then CL answers "crystals under polarised light" - which is exactly what they are! Wow - great detail mate!

I'll add some more information as a reward and for interest when you glance at my avatar (for as long as I have this one.) Three of the long crystals are all variations of topaz, while the green one is a pretty tourmaline. The purple ones are amethysts while all the rest are raw sapphires in blue, red and greenish yellow.

I think it is an interesting image, pretty and takes a bit of figuring out.

I figured it out like this: Left Mouse, Save Image As, then the image name comes up as the default file to save to: crystals-under-polarised-light-a-redu.jpg

My avatar is a fembot! The significance? Well, she's female, and beyond that, it is a funky, graphic image which is pretty arty too. I mean, what a spectacular image created for a 1920s film!

Maybe yes, Astro Boy, I'm not too well defined by it. So maybe I'm thinking it is an interim one to enjoy in the meantime.

My original one I'm afraid I got a bit bored with seeing. The bloke in it was a little too passive for my inclinations. He's got this hot chick laying all over him and he can't even crack it for a fat!

No I hadn't explained it yet, sorry about the omission.

This is me hanging out with two silken clad girls who came out here for the Lunar New Year celebrations. There was about ten of them there dressed like that - one of them is taking the photo - and it felt like a Chinese silk wall hanging come to three dimensional life. I had to bend down a bit as they are so petite. They were all really sweet, happy girls, loving being in Sydney.
