There's no moderation approvals required as far as I know.

well the reason for spam is the 50 post count that everyone is aiming for. ive just settled to do it slow :/
if there was no count, there would be less activity, but that 'activity' is meaningly spam anyway

This is very true. I get that it helps with seo but if they moderate the 50post count too much users will leave as cant be bothered making so many posts
