Advice for a first time punting holiday overseas ?

Hi fellow members, I've been single now for over 8 years since been divorced & haven't had a h resently sold my house & are in between jobs. I haven't had a holiday for over 8 years so I think it would be an excellent time to organise an overseas punting trip
I have never done a trip like this before & am hoping some of our more experienced punters could share their experiences & valuable recommendations on the do's & not does,
wisdom/experience & recommendations/tips.... So here goes :

I am a 42 year old Aussie (pleasant on the eye if that makes a difference ?) & at this stage plan on doing the holiday by
Myself. Single now for 8 years.

I am very open to the type of places & even different countries. I have travelled in Europe & played professional rugby league in France some 20 years ago so 'think' I would be confident travelling in Asia by my self.

Would be great if any members who have been there & done it before could post some tips - places & hotels they recommend. Do you have trusted friends over there that would be happy to take on a chaperone job for a few days until I get my bearings.
Any other advice would be appreciated : the dos & do nots, safety, reasonable costs for different 'activities'.

In this regard could you message me a few experienced members details that you think would be happy to give recommendations ?

- countries for the most attractive girls ?
- clubs, escort agencies, resorts, contacts for the best girls ?
- best countries for safe sexual heigene ?
- Safest way to travel alone or maybe with a trusted paid guide ?
- Contacts for clubs & trusted escort agency ?
- expected costs etc..

I know I have thrown a lot of info out there but any advice would be very much appreciated.

Bourke, Having been to the Phillipines about 6 weeks ago, I can only suggest looking into going there, I had a great time, whilst I havn't punted in other parts of asia, I found PI to be very friendly and more girls than you could possibly handle.
AS a 45yo Cauc Male, I was treated like a King, (yes it helps if you have some $$$to splash around.) But I didn't havn't to spend ALOT of $$$ to have ALOT of fun . I found it very easy to find a wingman, either from OZ or a Yank, The freelance scene as well as the girly bar scene made it very easy to have a great time . Everybody speaks english, the beer is cheap, the acommadation can be as cheap or exe as you want it to be. I stayed in Manila @ Makati ( the business district) right across the road from an enourmous shopping Centre called Greenbelt, that turns into bars etc at night, and its full of freelancers, and I also Stayed for a week or so on an ISland called Boracay, had a blast, there was tons of freelancers there as well... anyway Hope that helps. If you consider yourself pleasant on the eye you can always start off your trip in safe country like Singapore, Malaysia where plenty of expats live. Instead of places known for travelling for sex. Safe countries have got foreigner bars which local girls haunt to find that rich expat to bankroll them. Targeting these girls are easy, some are even college girls. Just play the game that you're on a recon trip to relocate.
