I had the line/over-under double in a multi for the Cavs match and the Dallas game and it was looking great until the Cavs let slip a late lead to be drawn into overtime.
On the NBA, a easy way to make money is to do a 2 leg multi on the line-over/under double. It pays around $12/1 so a measly $10 bet nets you $120 in return. It's also great as it means as long as you have a one in twelve strike rate you still break even.

Over/Under is just if you think the total points of the two teams will be over or under the listed number:
Eg. Today the over/Under for GSW/UTA is 195.5, so if the final score is 105-91 (total 196) and you bet over, you win.
Spread is how many points start the bookie is giving a team, it's like a handicap. Eg. Today the spread between brooklyn and portland is +/-1.5
If you bet on brooklyn at - 1.5, brooklyn have to win by 2 points for you to collect. If you bet on Portland at +1.5, and they win the game, or lose by only 1 point, you still get to collect.
