I like how the SA are blaming the pitch! Its their pitch they can make it how they like within reason, they made it that way to suit their own fast bowlers and it back fired, serves them right.

Well, Graeme Smith is now regretting that he won the toss but sent in the Aussie to bat !!

Michael Clarke said it all along that he wished to win the toss and bat first, so Clarkey must be laughing inside when Smith elected to field !!

Another poor decision was from George Baily in the ODI in Perth when he sent England in to bat and they made 300+ which we failed to chase down - missing (by resting!!) half of the team certainly didn't help and England was given their only win in the tour.

    Bring on Port Elizabeth !!

But the odds for the baggy green is very short now !!

While I think the whole country collectively owes our current Cricket Team a big gratitute of thanks, to the coach Darren Lehman, the Captain Michael Clarke, and in particularly Mitchell Johnson !!

Let's not forget the women behind all the men !! especially the WAG behind Mitch !!

We should all stand and salute Jessica Bratich, the lovely Mrs of Mitch, a Karate Champion herself no less, and it makes you wonder, perhaps there is no secret where Mitchell Johnson gets his aggressions from !!

Smith was too scared to bat first. Johnson has already broken his forearms/fingers twice before. Aussies are looking great.

The only problem with the second Test is the weather in Port Elizabeth:

We may not get 4-5 days of play, so a draw is very likely outcome @$4.00 !!

    Wednesday night
Windy with showers and thunderstorms likely. Low 20C. Winds WSW at 40 to 55 kmh. Chance of rain 80%.

    Thursday
Windy with light rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. High 23C. Winds SW at 30 to 50 kmh. Chance of rain 60%.

    Thursday night
Partly cloudy skies. Low 18C. Winds SW at 15 to 25 kmh.

    Friday
Partly cloudy skies, with gusty winds developing during the afternoon. High 23C. Winds ESE at 15 to 30 kmh.

    Friday night
Partly cloudy skies. Gusty winds early. Low 19C. Winds ENE at 15 to 30 kmh.

    Saturday
Partly cloudy. Gusty winds in the afternoon. High 26C. Winds ENE at 15 to 30 kmh.

    Saturday night
Mostly cloudy and windy early becoming partly cloudy late. Low 20C. Winds E at 15 to 30 kmh.

    Sunday
Some clouds with some scattered showers possible in the afternoon. High 25C. Winds E at 15 to 30 kmh. Chance of rain 30%.

    Sunday night
Occasional light rain. Low 20C. Winds SSE at 15 to 25 kmh. Chance of rain 60%.

    Monday
Light rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. High near 24C. Winds ESE at 15 to 30 kmh. Chance of rain 70%.

Unless if it rains on Thursday with Monday looking wet, if both team agree, they could play an one inning test over three days!

Who is bold enough? I think Clarke has the balls not sure about Graeme Smith !

It would not be a test then it would just be another game as test are only ever played over 4 innings.

The second Test in Port Elizabeth is said to be played on a green top, so should suit the Aussies.

Watson is unlikely to be fit to play thank goodness that will be a blessing for us.

It's a pity that James Faulkner was injured, he was 12th man throughout the Ashes and won the ODI at the GABA singlehanded so he should have replaced Watson, all rounder for all rounder!

May be Smith, and Clarke and Warner can all have a bowl in PE!

The forecast is getting better, some chance of shower on Thu but clear days ahead!

So another win to the Aussie to wrap up the series will be great !

Well, the weather is gonna play a big part now, raining overnight at PE, shower on Thursday so may not get a start until Friday, unless we can wrap this up in three days, Monday is raining again.

Since we are one up , may be Clarkey will play it safe. Graeme Smith most likely is going to play for the draw!

The odds for a draw has firmed from $4.00 to $2.90, Aussie is favourite to win at $2.50, SA outsider at $3.25

My money is on the draw this time, but a quick win will wrap up the series and that will be a collect for me too !!

According to the TAB, the second test at PE is heading for a draw!!

The odd for a draw has continued to shorten, from $2.90 to $2.50. It is now favourite over a win by the Aussie at $2.65 and SA out to $3.30

That's fine with me too, as long as Shane Marsh continue to make some runs and Harris taking more wickets.............haha

    Go the Aussie !!

If you check the SMH there was an interesting article by Harris where he said nerves for the better of him in the first test and he was trying to bowl too hard and has been training hard on consistency for the 2nd test

Ryan Harris was bowling better in the second inning than the first inning where he took two wickets.

I am betting on him to improve a lot and take more wickets in the second test !!
