Compliments that women actually find insulting

    Really?

Aren't they some of the compliments we're taught to say? So what are we supposed to say then?

Most of those, if sincere, are good compliments.. or just observations really.

If the chick who receives these comments twists them into whatever they don't want, then it is their problem.

    Agree with wise brotherfranciso
    80% of communication is nonverbal
If your intentions are good, and she can't take a compliment, then that's her problem

Moody women need to take a chill pill

Having been married and worked most of my life surrounded by females, I can tell you they're all no go's on the compliment front. It's like when someone says something racially insensitive then says "I can't see what's wrong with it", sure harm wasn't meant and maybe compliment was but the fact the other person didn't like it (whether due to their own hypersensitivity or not) means rather than saying the problem is theirs is not getting you anywhere. Here they have given you a road map, instead of thinking you know the way, read the map. Women are women, for the most part they are wired differently to us, understand the wiring and things will be easier.

    Well put asiafever
I admit I have no idea how women think

It takes some effort to see things from womens' perspective, but the effort is worth it ; )
