In Marketing jargon it is called "Penetration Pricing" -- How apt in the case of Rinka !! Hehe
Apple do it - high price at launch -- then after you have exhausted the "early adopter" market .... You drop to the next level until that market has been fully tapped .. so drop again etc
Then when the new (better?) model comes out --- back to the high price for those people who want to be first to the latest product.
Normal pricing strategy and says nothing negative about Rinka in my view

May be $600 or $580/hr Was the originally set market price. They were just testing the water and with all the pre marketing pushes managed to get as much bookings as they got for the $800+ opening success, so good on them !
It just set an precedence for future new girls that people may not rush in to pay the higher price but hold back and wait for the price to drop! Two weeks ain't long to wait and save $220! Especially for those who prefer to see AR before booking!

It s just my theory but if someone who has read that unbiased report written by one of ours here could probably think afterwards.
Even if she has pretty face, is $800 worth paying an hour for a girl who, just going by physical description in the report, sounds more like a young club girl with tatts on her body that projects more of a wild side than elegance of a high class model?
But then the service offered isn't up to par with other agencies who offer more at pretty much half the price.
At the end, those people might think that it's just a very premium packaged product which is enjoyable, but with somewhat ordinary service may not worth the premium rate.
Just my opinion.

Hi. I'm new to the forum but I've been following the Modello shop thread since the beginning.
The agency sure is in a tough situation. Obviously they arent getting the customers they expected and are now slashing prices to drum up interest
But by dropping the price they are pissing off customers who already handed out $800 for Rinka (Im assuming she's had customers than that guy who wrote the AR a few days ago?!) They will feel ripped off and might not visit the shop again!
Also dropping the price so soon after opening really gives the feeling of desperation and panic and probably many punters will continue to hold off hoping the price will fall even further!

May be she gets a large sum of money back in Taiwan to make the Sydney tour for a set time = say 4 weeks, in which she works 5 days a week. X amount of bookings per day plus overnighter, in which all the money goes to the agency. If business is good, she does more sessions in a day, she'll get extras !
Unfortunately , may be business is not as good and the agency needs to recover their investment..........
It's like a concert, the promoter paid a set price to bring in the artist, whether the entertainment centre is full of not, the artists income is guaranteed, just the promoter may be making money, break even or make a lost depends on ticket sell.

Did you know 80% of small businesses fail within the first 18 months? The reason: not enough cash flow! Many business owners invest their last cent in the business itself and dont leave enough cash to see them through the first few months when revenues can be small and unpredictable!!!
