Let's be clear, I do NOT want TMC banned. My point was solely that the spammy advertising was just hitting a point that was excessive. The Admins can make their decision on that, it's their forum and they can choose to run it however they choose.

However, since that comment we have seen two clear breaches of forum rules - one about personal abuse and harassment (which I have asked for a withdrawal and not received it) and one just above about posting Private Messages. Again, it is completely up to the admins to decide how to manage that, but these are the sorts of actions that do collectively bring the conversation down. People have been banned for less - I understand he's an advertiser, but there are plenty of advertisers that find a reasonable balance between promotion and spam. And respect and react positively to feedback.

The volume of advertising actually turns me off - it actually makes me think less that the claims stated are real and are more attention seeking. If the quality of the service and facilities is genuine (and man, I HATE the fact that he calls his employees "product"....) then the service and facilities can stand for themselves. In most service industries, it is better to under promise and over deliver than to promise unrealistically and deliver poorly.

I think it's fair to say that everyone now knows about TMC's grand plan.... If I were them, the most sensible thing to do now would go completely radio silent.... make everyone speculate about whether it's real or BS, start asking questions and only update privately his "24 ct" members with enough snippets that they become his supporters and advocates. If he's really built a market, then let the market push more out. Do it all Apple style...
