Actually it was the triumph of politics over sport.
Kim Jung Un has used the Olympics for his own political purposes.
He has sucked in the World.
He is crazy like a fox.

Of course it’s still very much politics but it’s great to see the more human and friendlier side of the NK and their stunning Red Cheerleaders rather than the threats of missiles and neuclear weapons ?

When the S Korean President shake hand with Miss Kim, a small chance of peace ?

Well, we finally get a medal at the Winter Olympia, thanks to Matt Graham who got Silver in the Moguls last night .

    Congratulations, well done Matt.

In comparison, so much hyped and expectations on Britt Cox the night before who ended up in 4th place with another Aussie girl 5th. Not a bad result but nothing to show really. Did the media put too much spot light and pressure on these young athletes? Would they be better off to keep a low profile , is that the team management and coaches responsibility to protect and shield them better perhaps until after the event and then they can milk and enjoy the publicity and attention for all its worth ?

    Just wondering ?

Talking about mixing sports and politics, back in the early 70’s when the Chinese and US had No diplomatic relationship. The great Premier of China Zhou Enlai sent an invitation to the US table tennis team to visit China and started the Ping Pong 🏓 Diplomat. Followed by the Chinese team visiting the USA and then Nixon’s historic visit to Peking in 1972? and drank MouTai with Zhou in the Great Hall and the rest was history!

Footy is back and how good was that ??

Two rounds in, a few surprises here and there, looks like both Storms, Roosters and Cowboys are beatable and surprise surprise, the 5 teams that remained unbeaten are probably not most people’s expected choices :

Mitchell Pearce and the Newcastle Knights, two tough wins to begin the seasons, how big will this Sunday game be with Pearce facing his old club for the first time and Cronk who took his old job at the Roosters 🐓!

And a Grand Final Rematch between the Storms and the Cowboys !

    Can’t wait 😊!!

Best match for me was seeing Parra getting smashed by manly, I hate them both but Parra a little more.

All the "experts" top 4 are all going to change in the coming weeks. Look at the tigers too, doing well when everyone said they were going to fail, they faced the storm who had the refs in their pockets and still got away with the win.

Well, I think the Cowboys should be two from two if the forward who ran into that JT pass didn’t hit the upright pad ! And the Storms clearly missing Cronk when they couldn’t close out the Tigers !

It is also worth mentioning the true sportsmanship displayed by Benji Marshall after he lead the West Tiger to beat the Storms in Melbourne and spoiled Billy Slater's 300th game milestone match. After the game, he gathered his teammates who were all celebrating from the far side of the field to come over and formed a guard of honour to clap Billy off the field. With this kind of leadership on the field, no wonder the Tigers are a very different team from previous years. And since they probably won't be affected by the Origin periods like the other top teams, and if their key players stay healthy, they could be a real Dark Horse in 2018 !

And it’s very hard to imagine a team with Jarrad Hayne, Cory Norman and Michael Jennings would be trashed 54 - 0 !

    Love my footy!
NRL started 2 weeks ago and now it's AFL tonight.
    My AFL predictions
    Grand Final: Adelaide v GWS
Biggest improvers: StKilda, Essendon and Melbourne
Biggest disappointment Richmond (Grand Final hangover will kick in and they will finish around 7th.

What a shocker, ball tampering and got caught red handed ( all in slow mo and HD on TV!)

Shameful scenes we saw in Cape Town last night from the Aussie Cricket team, Steve Smith has to go and perhaps half of current team depending on who are those in that “leadership group”!

And the coach who seemingly was trying to cover up too ?

Not even a Buddy Franklin 8 goals in Perth and Cronk thrashing Pearce again can take my mind off how Smithy took so long to build his career and reached the cricketing world summit and now ruined himself in one stupid decision, what was he thinking ??

Him and Warner should be thinking how to make a Century themselves in the second innings and save the 3rd Test rather than cheating with the ball ! Do your talking with your bats man !

And your facts to support such a wide-sweeping generalisation? They didn’t deliberately make it obvious they wanted to cheat without being caught - they were too stupid to realise that cameras were everywhere at the ground.
This has tainted Australian cricket (if not all Australian sport) for many years. Anyone ever get “the underarm incident outrage” from a Kiwi? ... and that was legal - just not good sportsmanship. The only way to recover is to permanently sack all who were involved and rebuild both the team and a shattered reputation.

Heavyweight unification fight between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker will be intriguing step for AJ.
The power punching AJ against the tough Kiwi will hopefully lead to the unification of the HW title with
a superfight with Detonay Wilder. AJ on pts .
    Bombs away !!

Renshaw, Burns and Maxwell are in .

Would be very interesting if we win the next test without Smith and Warner !

They haven’t done much with the bats so far in SA anyway.
