The Trifecta pays for the first 3 horses come home. if you box 3 horses, it will cost you $6.00 - the more you boxed, the more it costs.

To box 8 horses like I did would cost $336.00 (it works like 8 x 7 x 6 = $336), I usually bet half a unit = $168.00 and get 50% of the winnings.

You can certainly use your $300 bonus bet on the box trifecta and it will give you 89.28% of the winning. and then they will deduct the $300 bonus itself from the winnings.

In yesterday's case and Sportsbet will be using the Victoria toll, the trifecta was paying $2,953.40 from which your 89.28% will pay you $2,636.78 - $300 = $2,336.79 !

Not bad from using the bonus bet buddy !!

It's Oaks Day today, usually I don't post any tips outside of the Melbourne Cup but I do have a feel about one horse today and it's an outsider, so I thought I should share here. Any brother who won on the Cup from my tips should follow and spend a $100 to see if the luck continues ?

You look at the form guide, the top four horses look to have the race between them, but I like to point out that the best horse usually not necessarily win the Oaks/Derby, the genuine stayer do !

My tip is no. 9 Amazing Peace, currently $21.00/$4.40 - sorry, I couldn't post this earlier as it was $27.00/$5.50 this morning, and if you have online betting agencies, you usually can get an odd boost, I got $41.00 this morning with Ladbrokes.

Amazing Peace won her last race in Newcastle 2350m by half a length so she is proven in the distance where most of her rivals are not tested.

She beat no. 10 Never Listen by 6.1L and Never Listen won her next race of 2200m at Scone by 8.3L - so the form has been franked !

But the main reason I am confident with Amazing Peace is her pedigree: She is by Declaration of War out of a mare by Galileo ! And Declaration of War had just sired the Melbourne Cup winner Vow and Declare on Tuesday as well as the VRC Derby winner Warning on Saturday ! also the Queensland Oaks this year in Winning Ways !! Let's not forget Vow and Declare was beaten narrowly by Mr Quickie in the QLD Derby, so Declaration of War could have easily sired both the Queensland Oaks and Derby winner this year except for a few inches !! So he is probably the most significant sire of stayers in the current crops of race horses, and for that I am willing to put some money on Amazing Peace.

So my betting strategy today for $100:

Box Trifecta: 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 = $60.00 for half a unit

No. 9 Amazing Peace - $10 win, $30 place.

Anyone saw Nick’s 5 sets matching last night ?

He had a match point in the 3rd, another in the 4th, then finally won it in the super 5th set (first to 10 instead of 7!) tie break. Showing great fight, excellent skills and I particularly was impressed when he fell, cut his hand and care enough to tell the ball boy Not to touch the towel with blood on it, that’s a sign of a decent human being - as good as Rafa kissing the ball girl after hitting a ball to her head !

Nick got a warning on the time wasting, blow up a bit which was understandable but went on to win the match ! Has he turned the corner and finally realize his full potential?

The crowds loved him last night, I was in his corner every point and you can’t help but really impressed and happy and proud of the guy!

I have to mention about Roger beating Aussie boy and very likeable Milkman the night before, another 5 setter， also went down the the first ever super tie break and how on earth did Roger came back down 2 mini break at 8-4 and won the next 6 points in a row and the match ! Now after surviving the sudden death, the real tournament starts on Thursday at the SCG for the semis, but now mostly likely will be without our no 1 player Elise Perry she went down yesterday fielding and only blowed two overs !

Just heard on the news, if the semi final is wash out tomorrow, India and England will play in the final, seriously ??

The weather forecast down in Melbourne is fine for both Sat and Sun , so why can’t they play the semi on the Sat. OK, may be hard to arrange or the ticketing problem. Then why not a triple header: back to back semis on Sunday, have a longer break then play the final. It’s a T20 for fuck sake ! I’m sure all the girls can handle 40 overs in a days play, just like a ODI !
