    Punting in Hong Kong

Hey all, I'm about to go to Hong Kong for two weeks, and even thought the exchange rate is really bad atm, I think punting would still be cheaper there. Just wondering if anyone's got some advice or tips for punting in Hong Kong. And also things that I should look out for while punting in Hong Kong. Thanks guys.

Edit: P.s, I also have a couple hours to kill at Singapore airport in the middle of the night, any suggestions?

It is stupidly easy there. Check the link below, search away. Find the apartments blocks near your hotel and walk right up. Don't be shy

How many hours? doesn't sound like enough time. If I was stretched in Singapore I'd go to Geylang quickly.

    Have fun.........

I got about 6 hours, but I land at midnight, so I guess timing is terrible

Has anyone watched Anthony Bourdains "The Layover"? Someone should make a punting version. I think the show would do very well. Maybe ahlungor can be the host.

Bourdain is a joke.... so a punting version would flop.

The go141 link above is probably the best bet.

I pass thru Hong Kong on a regular basis and have anywhere between 5 hour and 5 day layover. Depending on arrival time (for hotel room access) I will text in advance to make a 2 or 3 hour "spa" booking, so by the time I actually hit the hotel room I collapse, or hop on the train back to the airport and straight to the lounge or on board and collapse :-)

+1 for 141...it's just..too convenient!! Be warned though..the pics AND videos are often misleading...sometimes you'll rock up and the girl is a total mess (shit makeup, didnt dress up etc..)

Are all these place okay for Caucasian guys? I am not sure how much the girls over there would like? Whenever I was in Hong Kong I would see the fat pommy guys with their "rent-a-girlfriend" fillipina girls. To me they are not as sexy as the HK or CN girls.

A few years ago, me and a couple of mates went to Portland district, and little did we know about the district.

We saw many young looking ladies wandering all over portland street, and up and down the stairs to various joints, and we thought we would give it a try.
At the same time, this papasan lurking near the stairs approached us and asked if we were interested and that we follow him up.
So up we went, soon as we stepped in, we were separated into three different rooms straight away.

I knew shit was about to go wrong, and they kept the door shut as they left the room. A couple of ladies came in, really not our cups (we were talking via instant messaging apps), ladies were mainly in their 40s, whilst we were in our 20s. Needless to say, we've turned all them down, then this guy came in and asked what type of girls was I after, obviously not in the friendliest tone.
I kept my cool and told him what we need, young young and young that's all, at this point we would of just gone with ANY young girls, pork chop or not.

The guy then left and slammed the door, had a chat with some guys, rushed back in and 'escorted' us down into another well hidden joint, which was rather freaky.
Should've just ran when we were brought down the street but followed that guy, had some conversations, was told portland street isn't the place for young ladies.
Eventually we went with some ladies in their late 30s and in the room i only asked for a HJ to finish it off.

Then left without any dramas, TBH it was kinda like a shop in marrickville, we went a couple months ago, late at night 2am shown 4 - 5 girls all old/pork chops,
and was about to leave, the papasan asked to stay to show us another girl, which as he walked off, he bang on the wall to show his dismay.
But guess what we gave no fucks and walked straight out of the door. Never again for this shop. We pay to get our loads off not to get rude treatments FFS.

On a side note, I am planning a trip to HK shortly, i did a few search on the forum, all seems to recommend 141 (which is mostly mainland chinese in their 30s).
I was just wondering what would be the best place for some 1. Young locals (<30) 2. or just young mainlander (<30), while keeping the budget around $500 HKD.
I know with the $1,500 spa we get young locals but obviously my punting budget won't allow for too many $1,500 spa sessions.

    Cheers
