This song was written after a first sexual experience with a WL.
I wonder how many songs out there are written for WLs

Ok this is a bit obscure but stay with me.
There is a scene in Martin Scorsese's masterpiece Goodfellas where Ray Liotta the narrator is talking about all the characters in a nightclub.
The song playing in the background Il cielo in una stanza is sung by Italian chanteuse Mina (a legend) and the song was written by Gino Paoli, and Gino basically wrote the song after a mind blowing and spirit lifting encounter with a pretty prostitute.
I'm not usually this nerdy or obsessive but you two sound like you are genuinely interested so I'll post a few links.
Here is the scene in Goodfellas with the song playing in the background.

Scorsese must love this song because here is a ad for Dolce & Gabbana directed by Scorsese with the song and Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey both looking very elegant

And here is Mike Patton lead singer of Faith No More who covered this song on his album of Italian 60s pop covers Mondo Cane

And finally here is a quote from the Wikipedia entry for the song where the songwriter Gino Paoli explains it:
Paoli explained that the song was inspired by the one-night relationship with a prostitute: "I wanted to describe the moment in which you are in a bed with a woman, you just had sex, and in the air you feel a sort of magic, which you don't know where it comes from and which immediately vanishes. In that moment you understand that you are nobody, but there's the whole world in your soul. Obviously I could not put in the lyrics the central moment of the story, the sex act. And I started to go around in circles, talking about the rumours in the street, the walls... a spiral path in which the unsaid triumphs" Wow! That is so Zen and so intense at the same time, Those bloody Italians take their sex seriously. LOL!

On hold to a call centre today and this was playing. Was happily dancing around with it on until an operator picked up.
"Hi this is Marissa can I start with your account number please."
"Oh.. hang on.. sorry Marissa.. I was just really enjoying the music.."
"Really? What was playing?"
"Earth wind and fire, September."
"Oh I don't think I know that one.."
I was shocked. So I proceeded to sing it to her. Badly. Good professionalism, she did her best not to laugh...
