With 6 songs, that was $10 a song!

Went and saw Tool lo ast week.... fucking hell.
Best show I've ever been to, handsdown.
    The visuals where insane.
Seeing the DMT inspired headsduring Vicarious was too much.

    So yeah, Tool.

Here you go FOx. My fave song off that album. Lives up to the album title totally.
Oh yeah MFW was one of their best for sure, I often played the main riff in guitar shops when I tried stuff out haha

That Hollention stuff wasnt bad actually, I listened to Woe to the defeated after and it had some interesting Arabic/Scottish (couldnt quite work out which one it was) harmonies in the back.

    I might listen to more

Listening to metal, death, thrash, gothic etc will darken your soul, dampen your spirit, weaken your body, poison your heart, pollute your mind.
You guys need to listen to some Gospel music.
Open your heart and receive the Light.

LOL there are actually quite a few good heavy metal bands which are actually Christian. The first on pops to mind which I like is KillSwitchEngage.

I am agnostic, leaning more towards dislike of religion but, live and let live.

    Then there is.....

    UNBLACK Metal.

    Yes. Go look it up

    🤣😂🤣

The other thread (where guys seem to be jumping at shadows and frothing at the prospect of a certain ml returning to the scene) made me realise just how popular that name is in music, particularly rock/metal.

    Great track and album.

I am surprised I am not a metal head, it was all around me growing up and in my early 20's. I do have some fond memories and I still like some mainstream stuff. My step-mum worked for a record company in the warehouse and we'd get to work there on school holidays.....I remember having a decent Black Sabbath collection as a result.

Not Black Sabbath, but a favourite and classic from my early teen years, I am sure my parents thought I was worshipping the devil. 🤣

    Tuuuuuuuuunnnnnneeeeee!
One of the great riffs of all time.
    Dio = Legend.
Controversial, but I thought Sabbath were better with him as lead. Ozzy was theatrical and all but Dio was pure metal.

You are probably right, though it just ain't right without Ozzy.

Some friends found metal back then, some other friends found bands like the Doors etc etc.....a group of friends were discovering the breakdance/hip hop/rap scene. Then others found punk. Oh the memories.

    KSE version of Holy Diver

Gnarly solo, love Howards voice here. He got that throaty "blackness" to his voice which suits this song

Bruh, this cover, is fucking trash imho.
    Its hair metal as fuck.
Howard's vocals are better in so many other songs. Rose of Sharyn, Always Die Alone, The Arms of Sorrow, The Signal Fire (even only a guest appearance).
And his new band is fucking fire bro.
    This song always disappoints me.

Today's playlist, BB King, Tool, (hed) pe, A$AP Rocky, Lamb of God, Gorgoroth, Biggie Smalls, aaaaaaaand Heilung.

    Heilung is fucking mad.
Any music fan should check em out.
    This is s good start....

    The Carter Family.
Good, solid, God fearing, decent, hard working folk.
Plow a corn field all day and then drive into town in a beaten up Buick jalopy, and record some tracks, and then drive back to the farm, make love to your Betrothed, and then wake up at dawn and do another hard day's work working the land.

You ever do something your brain was screaming at you not to do, but you went and did it anyway, and found yourself tumbling down the rabbit hole once again?

This girl had talent. Another lost too soon.

    She had talent.
But she made the wrong choices.
She chose the path of alcohol drugs sin and Satan instead of the pure light of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
    It is a shame.
