In terms of accommodation, it is suggested that you book well in advance or you might have some difficulty finding something decent in the city and close to the action. In Pattaya, NYE celebrations occur mostly at the beach with basic fireworks but they're nowhere near as spectacular as Sydney's NYE fireworks show. You also need to be careful at the beach and keep an eye on your wallet and phones because there are many thieves hovering around and taking advantage of tourists celebrating NYE. Of course, the bars are full of tourists with girls willing to give NYE midnight kisses in the bars and clubs. It was interesting to celebrate NYE in a different city.
