So I decided to try a massage shop the other day for the first time. I have been to brothels many times and there is no questions about how that works but the massage scene seems to have some nuances to get used to. Looking for some advice, I will start with my experience:

first query I have is about the price you pay for the legit part of the massage, the up front part and how this plays into the overall. For example there are massage types for like 15 min foot massage which are very cheap. So if im only going for the RNT is it acceptable that I opt for the cheapest possible legit massage and time? I went in and just paid a standard 30 min traditional massage. But if I dont care, is it acceptable for me to just pay the smallest amount, will they just up the price later? I assume I am just paying for time here essentially. I was greeted by a girl and she took me to the room, there was no picking or line up, I assume this differs place to place or is no line up the norm?

The general (basic) routine is:

You meet up with the girl in the reception area. You may get to pick from a lineup, or in a smaller shop you just get the next girl in rotation.

She will take you to the room, you will tell her how long you want to stay and pay her the shop massage fee (usually $40/30 mins, $50/45, $60-70/60, $90/90).

She will then leave the room while you get undressed. If you are shy and/or not sure about extras, you can leave your underpants on, but otherwise take it all off.

When she returns, she will tell you to get on the table, you should start face down so she can (pretend to) give you a back massage. At around the half-time mark she will discuss "extras". Often you will be asked if you have been there before. "No" is usually the wrong answer. Either say "yes" if true or "no, but my friend comes here and he told me about this place". You are more likely to get earlier and better extras if they think that you are not a green grasshopper.

Usually it's pay the front for the time, then I usually tip up front, although your mileage will definitely vary. If it's a shop I'm comfortable at, then my feedback goes a long way and I'll definitely give pointers back to management if things didn't feel right.
