Why is the shops bumping their threads a banned topic? I find it annoying to read a review that may express disappointment in an experience and then find it laced with shop updates and adverts. I thought there was a separate advertising area?
I get that the advertising must fund some of the costs of the forum, but do the shops have editorial control? I would just like to understand that if possible.
In short, that’s the forum’s policy, so you can be here for free. Because the shops bear all the fees.

Hell yeah there will be all sorts of characters turning up:
- one will have 10 cameras around 10 of his necks, 1 for each nick he has on the forum. No prizes for guessing who it is.
- there’ll be at least 1 or 2 Jack Lemmon / Walter Matthau wannabes
- another dude will be frantically texting on 5 phones at the same time keeping tabs/setting up successful meets with his 10 SBs, while smoking a cigar.
- another one will be there for a bust up with the 10 SB guy.
