I have just seen photos of the poor young victim, and I hope she rests in peace. That was an absolute savage act by a nutcase that should never have been walking the streets, and it really sickens me that this could happen. I have only ever seen photos on this forum and I have never been with her ever , but the photos of Shelby from Artarmon look very similar to the young victim.

Yes she was Caucasian and it was mentioned on the news tonight that she travelled frequently. Working as a sex worker would have given her this opportunity. I wonder what her family felt after it was made public that she was working as a sex worker. It must have been a real shock to them.

Probably cuz you hang out here too much. Plenty of cauc WL in sydney actually. My assumption was actually she was more likely cauc wl. If the stabber was asian on the other hand....

Anyway RIP to the young girl. Hope she is in a better place now

I was thinking how unlucky that poor girl was that he randomly booked her. It has since come out that he had been a client of hers before. So she must have come to mind when he decided on his first innocent victim. With the empathy for wl’s that posters and visitors to this site have I can sense that this horrible crime has affected you all more than usual.

In the confrontation in the street I’d back a chair over a guy with a knife. It is both a shield at more than arms length, negating the knife guy’s own reach, with four stiff wooden leg weapons on the end of it. One of those punched straight into his front teeth would have him thinking twice. It wouldn’t have been any better for him into his throat or eye. A milk crate is more a very effective light and manoevreable defensive object, not much of a weapon, although swung into a hand it would really bite. Did you see the metal pole the firey had. It was a crowbar on one end with a few metal spikes on the other. That would have broken his arm in one swing, though it wouldn't have had the distance or shield advantages of a chair.

In fact he was well out weaponed with a barrier of guys forming a perimeter around him. Who was the guy that took him to the ground and how was that done? He was the one that moved into the safety zone and made the final difference and ended the standoff. Or was it a group effort or a couple of the guys that did it simultaniously? Why don’t journalists ever ask the obvious questions?

As has been mentioned elsewhere if this had been America the nutcase could have bought any type of gun he wanted from the local walmart and caused carnage. Here it is a knife, and a chair beats a knife pretty easily.

I liked what the police commissioner had to say. Instead of the wimpy ‘don’t get involved” shite previously run out he said that in the future you aren’t going to just face the police, you are going to face the citizenry. The mood has changed I think and the natural instincts of men to protect the tribe, to protect the innocent, are emerging.

I'm not sure how it really matters what nationality she was, where her ad was, the adress, if anyone has seen her etc... a young woman has been murdered, these comments are extremely insensitive.

Please just let this thread go

You mean Scarlet Alliance? They are not Scarlet blue. Scarlet Alliance is an association for sex worker.

something don't see much people mention..... Do you guys feel an alarming amount of material and detail was published about the girl? I am almost certain there must be some exclusive deal done. How sick is that if I am right! Cash in with someone close to you in such a tragic death.

Also flowers and candles has been coming and I think someone organised a candle memorial today evening just when I was on my way home. Thats is a heart warming act and make us proud of this city.

    RIP Michaela xoxo
So sad to learn of this tragic & devastating incident in Sydney after i've just return from NYC with a client.
I agree it can be a very dangerous job for us girls not knowing who is going to walk through the door next. I guess there are dangers with all types of jobs.
Still a young and beautiful soul has been taken way too young.

It's easy to fantasise about what you would do in that situation, and to be honest you never really know until you're there and you're paralysed watching in unfold. But if I was the driver of the car he jumped on, I'd have hit reverse, dumped him onto the street then into drive and ran him over. Normally wouldn't condone that but when you've got a blood soaked frenzied nutter wielding a knife there's an element of doing the community a favour. I've been in an armed robbery several years ago and I was held at gunpoint. It was over 20 years ago and I can still walk you through it as though it was yesterday. It changed my perspective on life and what action you would take when confronted. I guess the point is that innocent people going about their business end up in confronting situations.

I think it's a natural reaction to wonder if you knew her or have had contact with her. Checking her ad or address to see if it was a girl you'd been with is not insensitive - it's just checking whether that person had crossed paths with you in some way . While we engage in a transaction or a service with the girls, there is a bit more to it and we can all reflect through a prayer or thought (whatever is your thing) about the loss. We are all part a wider community but we are part of a narrower community of MLs, WLs, escorts, punters etc. Not only has this happened to a beautiful young girl whose life was full of promise for a future - its happened to a member of our community. She's not an anonymous statistic to those here.

Obviously an AR would be distasteful, but I see no harm in expressing the human need for answers about who she was.

And Jamez11, I say all that with the utmost respect to your point of view. No criticism or arguments here.

No disrespect for the poor young lady, but it needs to be considered that the other victim was NOT a sex worker and could easily have died too. It would seem that being an ordinary office worker is equally as dangerous.

    RIP to the innocent woman

Know nothing about this guy, but if he is another drug affected lunatic, rather thsn a having a prinary diagnosis of a psychiatric condition like schizophrenia, then I have zero sympathy for his likely defence of mental illness
