    The money side of things...

With all the topics that has been asked, I'm surprised that this one hasn't been asked or even discussed in great details, with much discussion so I thought I'd start.

I consider myself a very newbie to the punting life. I did my first in 2018 and been doing more in 2019, at least once or sometimes twice a month. I either see an ML or a WL, depending on how my finances are for the month.

Money is, after all, the most important commodity that gets exchanged in this business. Girls come and go, mamasan come and go, even shops come and go, but in the end, we all still need money to be able to punt.

I personally, would hope to be able punt more regularly but alas, I don't think I could afford it, and I dont want to become so addicted that I will have to sell an arm and leg just to punt more.

Having lurked this forum for nearly a year now I've noticed some of the more senior members seem to punt with greater frequency, or even quality than others. There are also some newcomers that seem to score more often than others.

So my question is for you regular/irregular / experienced / inexperienced / senior / junior punters:
    1. How often do you punt? (daily/weekly/monthly/irregular / lost count ?)
    2. How do you afford to punt that often? (Do you get paid well at work / you own a successful business / you won a lottery / you got inheritance / smart money management)
    3. Is there a upper limit / lower limit of how much you spend in a month before you put stop and restart the next month?
    4. Any personal tips / advice on allocating / budgeting your money so you can still continue punting?
    5. Other thoughts?

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Of course, no answer is ever a wrong answer, or stupid answer, so don't be afraid to share.

please have a civilized and kind discussion.

After all, by sharing, we all learn from each other and we can hopefully punt more, and in turn, girls / shops are happier and we might even get better service.

Money is super important to anyone with a mortgage, children, study expenses, or living expenses. The problem is that this forum is mixed with the single, the retired, some on $35 000 salary a year, and some living off a generous retirement package of $100 000 and onwards. Many of the big spenders here have a lot of disposable income, because they have done the hards yards already and paid off the mortgage, and no kids at home

I always go on about value punting, because this is Sydneys strength. If things in Sydney were like they are in Melbourne or elsewhere, I probably wouldnt be punting, given the inconsistent service and high hourly rates elsewhere. If it wasnt for this forum, I would have been burnt by the practices of the lesser brothels, and stopped visiting

My main tip to new punters on a limited income, is to work from the lower price up, rather than starting with high cost punting, that is expensive for your budget. Choose a brothel that fits your spending budget and lifestyle. My friend started with $600-1000 an hour private ladies. He thought he was the king stud, the ladies made him feel important. The problem was that he could then never face going to a brothel. He has no idea whats out there

have a rough annual budget, which is quite small(tiny?) compared to those loaded bros, and always end up being well under it at the end of the year.

for a salaried employee, my view is that best to keep annual budget within one month's takehome pay, definitely not over 2 months' pay.

not that i don't want to punt more or have strong self discipline, but for me the bar is very high w.r.t what kind of girl i want to see, and i'm never shy to walk out when none of the girls available meet my expectations.

weather/engery&mood/work schedule etc also put a constraint onpunting frequency.

i keep a spreadsheet and diary of every session, with notes on how well/badly it went, and if it's a bad punt, how to avoid the same mistake in the future.

the spreadsheet allows me to see at a glance how much has been spent so far this year, and the percentage of good/bad punts etc.

with limited budget, time & engery, i keep refine the selection criteria and keep bad punts to a minimum.

i'm mostly an rnt guy, here are some lessons learned:

    lesson 1:
the 3rd/4th/… sessions with the same girl usually go downhill.
    so i rarely repeat.

    lesson 2:
some friendly girls talk a lot, and the conversation ends up taking up too much time. need to keep talk time under control and steer the subject to the girl's background etc. so you know more about her, not some random subjects.

    lesson 3:
never pick a girl who wear long pants, jeans, long sleeves. she either has something to hide or don't want you to touch her.

You are a smart guy. The After Reports dont end with the salary of the reviewer, so its worth remembering everyone has a different budget

Thanks for registering, and keep posting your thoughts, they are appreciated. Its nice to have more voices on here, each of us have unique experiences we can all learn from

Thanks for sharing. That tip about having an annual budget is something I will try myself. So far i have been keeping to a maximum of about 10% of my monthly salary. I guess that roughly translates to a little more than a month of my monthly salary in a year.

And using that spreadsheet is also something i haven't thought abt.

Do you have any outstanding debt like mortgage / car loan payments?

    1. How often do you punt?
2x a week, sometimes 3. Will be cutting down

    2. How do you afford to punt that often?
Salary job which I pays fairly well.

    3. is there a upper limit / lower limit of how much you spend in a month before you put stop and restart the next month

    Never really thought about it.

But yeh I should, I have been punting more in last 6 months then I did previously.

    4. Any personal tips / advice on allocating / budgeting your money so you can still continue punting?

Goes without saying Punting is a hobby, all your other expenses bills, mortgage, loans, family expenses have to be taken care of first.

    5. Other thoughts?

1)there are some punters who are very well off here so don't get carried away with the punting rates of others.

2)if u work hard then enjoy life. Money can be earned time can't.

    3) I visit MLs only, if u r chasing FS from MLs it will get expensive!

Checked the spreadsheet today, and here is a breakdown of the money spent on 3 categories of sessions this year:
    Cat-1 - 41% - Memorable/Superior sessions
Cat-2 - 16% - Unavoidable bad/bland sessions (couldn't have known it would be so bad or pointless)
Cat-3 - 43% - Avoidable bad sessions (had I exercised better judgement / self-discipline, I'd have stopped short of going into these sessions)

So the task for me is to exercise more self-discipline and judgement to reduce cat-3 sessions to a minimum.

Last year was a lot better, mostly because of luck and the fact I visited a super good regular for a few months:
    Cat-1 - 71%
    Cat-2 - 5%
    Cat-3 - 24%

Thats a good analysis. Whats your average cost per punt?

Keeping a spreadsheet reminds me as if you're keeping it for taxation purposes. I see it differently. Once you have spent the money on the girls it's gone and no turning back. Just enjoy it.

It’s like anything in life, all relative.

I have a high income so spending $50k pa on punting doesn’t affect my lifestyle.

Income is several $100k’s so even after punting I still have the same dosh as a top earner who doesn’t punt and is a good boy.

Somebody on the dole would think this sum is ridiculous. A horny Arab sheik who spends billions on private jets, super yachts and expensive escorts would spend $50k without blinking.

Is it a bird, is it a plane, no its Punterman. Always seeking out good value bbbj, DFK, DATY for $150 hr in the Western Sydney brothels.

I'm mostly (>90% of time) go for RNT, so it's almost always $90-120, except when I don't like the girl and choose massage-only ($40-55)
When i do go for FS, it's usually Liaisons ($220-300) or Ginza($200-250)

I get what you are saying, except that sometimes you did NOT enjoy the session at all and can't lie to yourself that you enjoyed it.

In this case, I jot down the reasons why it went off track, and try to prevent it from happening again next time, if possible. Occasionally it's impossible, like when the lady has fake boobs, saggy boobs, flabby belly, unsightly pussy, armpit odor etc, despite her good looking face; or she tries to overcharge or show poor attitude.

I like a diary. I dont remember all the punts relying on memory, and as some have said, its nice to look back and see what you have done

    1. I think somewhat irregular depending on time, mood and money. Though recently I think its a bit more often and this forum certainly doesn't help because it gives me even more good info into places that I should try.

    2. Just putting things into priority and luckily have a good paying job that allow me to savour into a little of a debauchery lifestyle. I do admire the guys here that able to do it so often and pretty successful in their life in terms of wealth and hoping one day I could reach there.

    3. Probably more towards monthly budget with a tad loose limit on it.

    5. I'm sorta new to the world of ML, not sure what exactly should I expect out of part 2 and etc. Hoping there was a little bit of a guide as to what is in those, as so that I can align my expectation.

Punting can get pretty expensive and you gotta keep remembering that it is transaction, nothing more than that. You gotta guard your little heart and imagination!

    1. Currently fortnightly/monthly on average but really irregular. Might not punt for 3 months then have a debaucherous weekend.
    2. Okay wage, other irregular income streams.
3 Have an 'Entertainment' budget monthly. I would start to ask questions of myself if I spent more than 20% of that on punting.
    4. If you don't need the cash feel free to punt it. if you are that way inclined, treat yourself with a top shelf punt when you get a bonus, a winfall or unexpected income.
    5. Be good to your mum.

Basically one RnT session a week. Even the money is fine the body ain’t what it used to be , why stretch yourself ...... lol

Then of course if the footy is winning or backed a few winners in the TAB then may reward myself with something special. But nothing excessive, on most occasions would have treated the family or the Mrs to nice dinner or gifts instead .

Hope you all do the same ? Love thy family .

    Cheers

Everyone gets something, family, friends and WLs alike when I snag a 3 or 4 leg sports multi, a trifecta or jackpot on the pokies! That is the sweetest punting money and everyone at my house certainly enjoys that week or two!

Haha love the spreadsheet mate, that's dedication! Just make sure no one else can get into your computer

    For the OP:

So my question is for you regular/irregular / experienced / inexperienced / senior / junior punters:
    1. How often do you punt? (daily/weekly/monthly/irregular / lost count ?)
    2. How do you afford to punt that often? (Do you get paid well at work / you own a successful business / you won a lottery / you got inheritance / smart money management)

    5. Other thoughts?

    1. About 3 times a month
    2. At this stage from $$ only perspective I should probably only be doing it once/month (in the 3rd year of a start-up business) but I justify it because of the stress of the business and consistent 60-70 hour weeks. Sometimes when things get really busy (more towards the 70hr end) I don't have time. But recently hired another staff member which relieved the pressure a bit. I should probably be focusing solely on growing the business but sometimes I get carried away!
    3. I actually haven't really budgeted it properly before. I was pretty good at keeping it to once/month (very manageable) until around 2 months ago when I found an ML I really liked, so I've been seeing her more often than I should. Apropos the above point though, this has also coincided with an especially stressful few months in the business, so maybe I inadvertently punt more when I'm more stressed/anxious. Anyone else?
    4. If your gut is telling you that you probably can't afford it, you probably can't afford it
    5. Live long and prosper

About twice a month or so these days. I work full time on an average salary around 50k a year. I started punting in 2016 and was going twice a week on about a $300 budget so usually two 1 hour sessions a week. Some people will spend over $300 a week going out to clubs drinking, smoking and gambling. I'm being a little more careful these days saving more and interested in more overseas trips. I mix it up a little and get massages now and then.
