The best hope for a happy and meaningful life is good old fashioned things like friends, family, exercise, pets, healthy food, work, sport, hobbies, loving committed relationships, creative/artistic activities, community involvement, helping others, outdoor activities etc.
Withdrawal from society is not the answer.
Rampant hedonism, drugs, sex, parties, alcohol, shopping, consumerism, gambling, gadgets etc also are not the answer.
These things give a few minutes of pleasure and escape but then misery, depression, emptiness, anger, angst etc follow and last until the next few minutes of pleasure and escape, and so the cycle continues as you sink deeper and deeper down the whirlpool of emptiness, meaninglessness, angst, depression, anxiety, self hate etc.

I respect your opinion. But you will find it hard convincing society at large, that a group of mainly white, educated males, are deserving of sympathy.
Many people feel hard done by. My guess is that white males are the least hard done by group, unless they were born into poverty or abused when young (which are the minority).
