Phone Options

I can no longer use my phone for appointments and was wondering what other options are out there, like an app or second sim. I do have WeChat but it is not always the greatest option.

My experience with apps is they are expensive plus they show up on your cc or account as a subscription.

I haven't done the second sim card yet because every place wants your details and I really don't want anyone in my family to see I have purchased a second sim card, unless anyone knows for sure that the provider will not contact you or send you information in the post, etc.

Would like to know if you guys have found some different ways to work around this?

This has been posted already ... But repeating here.
I copy phone numbers into my phone. I use a prefix (like xx) so I know they are punting contacts and it keeps them all together.
Occasionally check through and delete any no longer needed.
I put all these punt phone numbers on blocked.
I then use either WeChat or Line to make contact.
There are exceptions where you have to use sms or by calling (eg. 14 Atherton) and some MLs, but they are exceptions.
Most are covered by Line or WeChat.
I find these better as I can set privacy better.
Many shops advertise rosters etc on WeChat or Line.

Install the Line and WeChat apps.
If you copy the mobile number into your phone directory, usually the WeChat or Line accounts comes up as a new contact in WeChat or Line automatically.
If not coming up after you wait a short while, then copy the mobile number and then search for an account in WeChat or Line and find the account that way.
If even that does not work, then you can always contact the shop and ask for an ID or picture of ID barcode to scan.

Sms message will appear on phone screen or car. That's for private or business only.
WeChat and Lime are set to discrete so I get symbol notification and vibrate alert only.
Keeps it private.

If you are worried about statements on your Cc then buy a prepaid visa and use that and keep it at your desk at work.

Now that your connected, whenever they post their roster onto the public feed, you will get it on your main feed.
You can switch that off and on for different shops in the settings. If you click on the particular contact you just made, you can see all their previous main feed posts (which everyone can see if they are connected).
You can chat directly to them privately as well.

It's automatic. Once they confirm.
Then you can start chatting.
