The first time I heard this theory about your mum's dad being the one to blame for your hair loss I would have been 18 years old and I thought that if this is true then I am pretty much fucked.
Heard this theory many times since and people often declare it to be a well known fact. Only problem is that I am now in my forties and I still have so much hair on my head that I feel compelled to correct people on the matter citing myself as evidence to the contrary.
Seriously, my grandfather on my mother's side could have had a career impersonating Patrick Stewart while in contrast my hair has not regressed in the slightest. Shit, 4 years ago my hair reached the point that my mates were busting out INXS's greatest hits whenever I walked into the room.

I believe this to be true also. Of all the male cousins on my mother's side...9 in total..only 2 had hair after they turned 30..myself and another, and we both still have hair . My mother's brother (my uncle) and another cousin were both baldy at 16!!!
