Madness? This is a necessity. If the government had initiated all this two months ago, we would have it under complete control in Australia now. It’s all those people coming back from overseas bringing in back who have caused chaos. I’d have shut it down completely. If we have to sacrifice 0.5% to protect 99.5%, easy decision

Anyway as AH says, the regular punters will save lots of money so there is a plus side.

The biggest problem will be the WL’s and ML’s as they can’t work so no money and if they get sick in Australia and have no medical cover over here, they are in deep trouble.

    God save us all.

Just watched the movie Contagion. Watch it as it mirrors what we are seeing now with an out of control virus.
There will be travel restrictions, but not as part of this non essential business shutdown. People (at the moment) will still be free to come and go as they like.

But restrictions aside who in their right mind would under these circumstances risk it. I’m surprised shops haven’t shut up before now.

In the meantime give the porn sites and missus Palmer and her five daughters a work out. If that gets boring swap hands.

The PM's message tonight about closure of non essential services applies to places of social gatherings. It doesn't suggest brothels or massage shops. The places to be closed from tomorrow mid-day include clubs, bars, places of worship, casino, cinemas, indoor sporting venues and gyms. Shopping centres and schools are not required to close. Shops like beauty salons are not required to close. It sounds like adult venues are not affected under stage 1 of closures. The NSW and Victorian states wanted to go further but the federal government didn't want to go that far at this stage.

I wonder if all the hotels in town will be closed too, where can those customers go ?

There must be still a lot of overseas people in those large 5 Star hotels like the Hilton ?

Yeah don't think i'll be punting for awhile. Good excuse to stay home. Maybe look into getting a VR headset and watch VR porn.
