There some panic buying at dan murpheys yesterday when they announced all non essentials to close.
i was kind of expecting prime minister to say something about brothels and massage places. close or open?
one side, they are entertainment and not essential so must be closed
the other side, its just 2 people (sometimes 3) in one room so this is still okay.
am i confused....
My interpretation is that bottle shops, even in pubs, can remain open for take away service as long as the separation distance rules are observed. There has been no specific ban on the sale of grog;
Restaurants and cafes will also close, but be allowed to serve takeaway, while essential services - including retail shops, offices, workplaces and schools - will remain open.
I've noticed on another list the "Beauticians" are allowed to operate. This involves close contact, but presumably there would be strict safety protocols in place.

Some funny bits...
Just was down at my local Westfield..
Everything open EXCEPT the massage places, yet by the rules they could be.
Once 3.30 pm came around it was definitely time to leave with all the school kids (in uniform) turning up and packing the place.
oh, and it was easy to park anywhere today
Under stage one restrictions, hairdressers, beauticians, massage parlors and nail salons are able to continue operating nationwide for now.

Why even bother with a fucking lockdown if you're going to keep shit like that open.
I think the massage shops have panicked & closed because of the wording" Non Essential Services"
The Government wording was places of mass gathering Pubs ,clubs, gyms, churches etc. Most small businesses especially one on one can remain open.Beauty salons ,hairdressers, Physio etc
I have a booking with my Physio on Wednesday & he is still open .I asked if his massage therapist is still working & yes she is & had a 10%
increase in bookings today.
Ginza & several other establishments have their roster up for tomorrow.
You cannot have 501 people on Bondi beach but the government still allows 2000 people on a train ,2/3000 people on Town Hall station in peak hour.BUT only one person in 4sqm at a Wedding or Funeral.????????????
Just my rant for the day
Thanks for that!
I suppose massage therapist is an one on one services and not mass gathering, realistically speaking , if the masseuse is wearing a mask and he or she sanitized the hands before giving the massage - is it safe enough ? The only risky part is the shop itself , the room, the massage table , table cover , towels and most importantly, the head hole ! How is it gonna be cleaned after each clients and disinfected ?
