They are open now but only to high level gamblers...not the to normal everyday plebs probably like most if not all of us. I used to work there and still have many contacts there and they tell me that the Main Gaming floor is about 2 to 3 months away from opening to the general public, but that may change.

Was there any reference to this by the government when easing restrictions or is this a secret arrangement between the government and the casinos?

If they have a system in place of covid procedure i don’t see why not. They have medics/security too. The place is huge, they also have new soverign room for VIP. Luxury. Hence, they use invitation only you cannot just turn up and play, due to limit restriction i guess. the governent can’t prevent that, is part of their high source tax income too.

Star City: Re-opening limited gaming spaces
"As part of the NSW State Government’s latest easing of COVID-19 restrictions, some of our gaming areas will begin to re-open under limited capacity from Monday, 1 June. At this stage, we will open a number of dining outlets and Private Gaming Rooms by invitation only to Members of The Star Club. Unfortunately, due to reduced capacity to ensure both social distancing requirements and restaurant limits are adhered to, we are unable to welcome back all Members and guests at this time."
You will need to pre-arranged your visit due to nsw capacity guidelines.

    Crown Sydney Casino:
Don't know when they will open. But they cannot have pokies until after 2041. Thus, only Star City can have pokies. This is the deal that Star entertainment secured with the nsw gov.

I think Star will open in July or end of June for sure. They are actually allowed to open, but I think Star is trying to put all the safety measurement in place.... Just my guess...

People are always offended someone else won, but they lost. It is a significant reason why I switched to online casinos. In this way, I can enjoy the relaxation it gives without hearing or seeing anyone's frustrations. I tried a lot of platforms and unlike the offline ones, finding good online casinos is a massive headache.

All types of people go to the casino. Many with loads of cash playing at the tables. Some go for the cheap meals, others are gambling addicts, some just go to have a good time with friends or widows spending their late husband's money. I'm sure there are WLs walking around and checking out potential customers.

Lately the Star has been in the news due to criminals laundering money through the casino. Crown had this problem and the Star got exposed doing it too.

Luckily, I found tambang888; it's the best option, even if it's an international online casino. Now, I can say I wouldn't get back to offline ones.

One thing I can never understand with online casinos is, how would you know that someone else was winning the money you lose and not just the house taking everybody's money?
Let's use pokies for example. It's called video poker for a reason. Someone loses, someone wins, and the house keeps a portion of the total. That's how it's supposed to work legally. In the VIP room at the pub, it's easy to see this, the machines are all physically there. You can't see anything the house does not want you to see in an online casino.
