As contractors the girls are responsible for their own Super, insurance and taxes just like every other contractor is. They choose not to protect themselves because they are too cheap. They are protected by the law exactly the same way as everyone else is.

Mostly agree however the ATO does have a contractor test, one question I know is "does the contractor supply their own tools?" I think in ML case the tools walk in the door so they fail that test of contractor.
Tools are only an indicator and quite low on the decision scale. The more important test is who has discretion of how the work is performed.
When I use this ATO guidance tool, it shows the girls as being employees and eligible for superannuation.
perhaps leon & spaceman would be more comfortable guiding the girls on how to report through the fairwork australia & ato websites to ensure entitlements are paid. And it can be done after the girls have left employment so they wont be hassled by the boss.

Actually it doesn't show that. The ATO guidance tool only states it is likely because the actual determination is more complicated than a simple online tool can answer. The issue of massage girls being employees or contractors is a bit of a grey area and comes down to the individual circumstances of each case.
