My wife works part time in a VIP room, I didn't meet her there though.

I know a lot of girls working at VIP rooms, also a close ex WL friend who is now a licencee at a place where the parent company owns about 26 other sports bars.

GoldfishMan, you are the voice of reason. I think for too long I've been slipping out of reality and into a vague non existence lol. Sounds a bit fucked up but yeah, that's how I've been feeling. And here's a bit of trivia for you. It is illegal to advertise any form of gambling in NSW, including even showing to the public that you have gaming machines on the premise. You can't even put up a sign saying "Gambling place" on a shop, nor have the gambling activities / paraphernalia being displayed in public.
As a result, the hotel/pub industry in NSW simply picked the name "VIP lounge" to universally designate the pokie room in a pub in NSW. Walk past one of these and you're not supposed to even see the fruit machines in it, just the words VIP lounge, the smell of cigarette smoke and the sounds of button slapping.
It's also the reason you don't see any "Bookies" on the street... That's called a sports bar here, and it's separate from the VIP room.

We're not sharing a bank account and she doesn't directly demand me to buy pretty stuff for her, but I do have a goal that I am saving up for. I realised that COVID had made punting prices go up, almost all the shops that offer $150/hr and included DFK/BBBJ in the service had either adopted 42G's three tier pricing or are keeping the prices low but have horrible lineups. I don't know why people have the need to 'look' for a girlfriend. Peer pressure from family and friends?

I had peer pressure from relatives to quickly get a girlfriend and finally get married. Did that exactly and it didn't end well.

Met my ex-wife through a friend. She wasn't the prettiest flower in the vase but she matches the requirements that my relatives had set for me ethnicity wise. Chinese girl from Guangzhou. Speaks Cantonese, which is perfect in my family's eyes. Marriage lasted 2 years, lucky didn't have any AVOs against me since she would do things that will infuriate me like treating my money as if it was hers while she sends money to her OWN personal bank account in China. Mind you she wasn't even a WL, no one would book her even if she decides to become one.

After our divorce I warned my family members against peer pressuring me into another marriage again. This time I chose to avoid Chinese and Korean girls due to stories from friends about how materialistic they are. Also I avoid Thais due to a bad encounter with a Thai girl who had 5 boyfriends.

Being a supermarket store manager can easily earn you $100k annually, and you don't even need a master's degree of sort. All you need to do is to work from the bottom as a shelf stacker, brown nose yourself every time your manager walks past and you'll get there in 5-10 years time. The only problem is that when you get there you don't have time for yourself or your family - if your store fails to reach KPI your job is on the line.

My current job can earn me almost $90k annually if I work really hard but I'm capping it at $70k by rejecting weekend jobs, because my main priority now is to have a stable income, plus the current coronavirus situation had proven that my current career choice is pandemic proof.

In case anyone is asking, I work as an electrical tradesmen fixing industrial machinery and electrical power points. I used to do domestic electrical contracting but being an apprentice at that time my salary was capped and the headache with dealing with domestic customers is too much to bear. My old workplace was offering me up to $100k annually to be an electrical contractor after I finished my apprenticeship, got my full licence and gave the boss my resignation. I declined the offer because I didn't like dealing with domestic customers and I'd have to buy my own van, pay for my own tolls and pay for my own public liability insurance. Besides, the new job was supplying everything from van, tools, tolls, insurances and I was working remotely which means that I can start and finish whenever I want.

And I'm glad I got this job after I divorced that money hungry bitch!

It's no wonder many people don't want to get married these days. Why go through hell with some women when it's just easier to stay single and enjoy life. In some cultures, there is a lot of pressure to get married and have children (i.e. to carry on the family name or dynasty) but if you can find the right girl who doesn't nag you, ask too many questions when you go out, doesn't care how much you earn or what job you have, cooks and looks after the household while also keeping you satisfied in bed would be ideal. However, no one is perfect these days right? The perfect women seem to get snapped up very quickly leaving the leftovers or ones with lots of baggage or single mums that no one really wants. Many women are too bossy and very career orientated these days. It's all about them these days. If a man doesn't measure up to their expectations, he's out and if he has any assets then beware because she will clean him out if there are children involved.
