Interesting to know...
wow it's surprising that the non-asian wls get the same amount even when we pay more for their services.
I've paid about 30-50 more for the hour for non-asian. Pretty much the same level of service and in my opinion, wasn't worth it.
Pretty much 50 50, in some shops the girl gets a bit more when its a booking
I heard about 60-40 for massage places, in shops favor. Though if the shop is really nice (big rooms, air-con, with shower, clean towels etc..), I think it is fair enough.
.................
This thread is very informative! Thanks for sharing guys!
A massage girl told me she once worked at a shop around Leichhardt or Harberfield that, for a 60min session of $65, gave the girl only $25 and kept $40, because the girl was on a tourist visa and not eligible to work. She didn't like it so switched to a another shop in the city that gave her a fairer split of 35/30 (girl took $35, shop $30)
Seems like some shop owners take advantage of girls without valid visas, but others are more considerate.
My view is that shops take a risk to hire girls without valid visa so they want some compensation in return, but if the girl has good looks and in demand, they are quick to move to earn better rates.
I had a massage at bodyrotic and the girl I had my massage with was a 21 year from Swedan on a WHV and we got catching about her travels and how much she is making working at Bodyrotic. She has been doing it for about 6 months working full time (5 days a week) then she went travelling around Australia and came back to Sydney to top up her funds.
She told me that its a 50/50 split on the massage price charged to customers;
So she told me that she gets the below amounts per client.
1/2 hr: $90
3/4 hr: $115
1 hr: $140
She said she has the option of working 10am-5pm or 5pm-1am but has done heaps of double shifts to max her earnings. She said she gets about 5-6 bookings on average for a single shift and if she works a double she can get anywhere up to 10-12 bookings. Just the massage itself she said she can earn between $800-$1600 a day then all her extra's on top she can earn about an extra $1000-$1500.
I guess this is all tax free?
I've heard from one of the MLs, the shop only takes a cut out of the initial massage fee/time...tips are all for the ML, not sure if all shops are like that - couldn't really see how the shops would know what extras are being offered inside the room and negotiations that went on etc.
Extras/tips all for the ML and the shop will get most of the hourly charge, e.g. If the shop charges $65 an hour the shop will take about $40.
What's the difference in cut between ML and WL?
How about how much wl get? For example $240 per hour for Ginza girls.
Just got me to thinking ... Is sex work a GST supply?
My understanding is usually most shops take only a small cut for the 'room' or 'booking' fee
somewhere in the ballpark of $30-50/hour of the total bill.
I am aware that in Caucasian joints it's closer to 50% so those $350/hour joints take $175/hour.
It's pretty crazy.
In saying that, there is no golden standard, they can charge what they like and give the girls whatever cut they want, but it's a pretty cut-throat industry if you underpay your girls or try to rip them off, they'll catch on pretty quick and move elsewhere.
