To be fair, i think it is very tough to try to get ahead in films industry in China, even with Gong Li's quality, i doubt if she was not Zhang YiMou's live in girl friend when she first started she would have the success that she had, many artist really have to fuck and suck their way to the top, for us, i think we would much prefer to watch their performance on the casting crouch and hotel bed rather than their performance in front of the camera!!

And spare a thought for all those thousands of aspiring actresses that were fucked hard but never even made it !!

I think when she was in the Tiger/Dragon film, people generally liked her as a new talent, then the news came out that she literally throw herself to Jacky Chan during RH2 didnt do her image any favour!!

I can still remember the photo that she was sitting on the lap of Jacky feeding him grapes!! in the set of RH2. I think people dislike that, sure all female artists in JC films probably have to suck up to him as he is such a womaniser but smart girls usually did it quietly and discreetly.

What Zhang did was almost like a self declaration that: I'll do anything to get ahead!! Which she did.
