I love a thread of music recommendations. The new Vampire Weekend album is surprisingly good. Not as catchy as some of their earlier work but it really grows on you.
Yes, you are right in that it is opposite. Darkness on the Edge of Town came out 3 years after Born to Run. And it had Springsteen at 29. He obviously had won and lost in he's own life by then. So it was a lot more broken than earlier works. Anyway, we are reading to much into the comment. The 3rd verse of the song screams that I will be on that hill with everything that I've got. It's been 18 months now and I think you know the hill. Good luck with the Filipino my friend. We are getting to old for failure 😎🤞

One of favourite books and one of my favourite writers.
I recently picked up a book of his quotes. What I like about him is I don't necessarily agree with his position on some things, but he challenges you to think and in this day and age, thinking seems to be a lost art!
What am I listening to now...

I fucking love Black Mirror.
One of my favourite episodes.
And the lyrics go so well with the theme.
Oh!
How I long for San Junipero!
De La Soul: 3 Foot Tall and Rising.
I remember hearing this album for the first time and being totally blown away.
Some wanker critic described this album as the Sgt Pepper's of Hip Hop, and he was probably right.
It still sounds great today ... as does Sgt Pepper's ...
What have I been listening to? Nagging, whingeing, complaining missus. Never stops. Need to get out for a punt and a couple of beers.

13 years wait.... and fuck my life was it worth it.
If this doesnt give you chills, you are simply not human.
Wengshun can eat horses dick
13 years is a long time between drinks! I will have to listen to the full album, something that sadly doesn't happen so much these days. Dare I say it is a bit of a step back to the mainstream for Tool.
Speaking of tools, Wengshun? I have always said Wensheng! No wonder Chinese girls look at me like I have 3 ears when I try to converse with them! May need to refine my broad Aussie accent in this ever changing multi-cultural world we live in to get to the next level!
I have reminisced with Flight of the Conchords this week, ironically, almost 13 years since their TV series was released. For 'WengShun'. 😁😁

And you don't believe it
You have no home here
You worship a secret"
Ah Howard, how dost my heart flutter at your soulful Serenade... hopefully it won't be My Last.
Just made a joke for myself I think.
