I found great value on odds today.
    Wash -1.5 @around 2.1
Man, the starting pitcher is Strasburg. He's awesome.
And Rays's pitcher, (if not changed), is Archer. Who is in his debut. Well, an untested pitcher against an awesome one. It's quite obvious result.
    Strasburg is Wash Nationals' ace.

I'm just started to learn about how the game works, the 9 innings and how the visiting team bats first etc. Interesting thing about this game is it can all turn around at any inning. There is no time limit either, just need 3 outs to move onto the next batting team. This could take a while for me to learn the teams and pitchers but so far I like the odds. I was looking for live internet feeds of the baseball games but couldn't find any, brother Jj999 do you know of any feeds I can watch live?

    Same as NBA. Www.NBA.TV
    I subscribed to MLB.TV for around $100/season.
Higher quality than the free streaming for cost that is miniscule.

However, what I learn from watching it.
Don't even bother watching it. Very fucking boring game.
I have more fun looking at the livescore than watching it.

Trust me. You don't really need to watch to win it.
Because there aren't much strategy to apply in a game beside batting, pitching, running, pinch hitting, etc.
No formation, no low post scorer, no triangle offense, no height disparity, etc.
Basically, it's just as simple as throw and hit, if you hit it hard enough, then it's homerun, if all the bases were loaded when you hit the homerun, then you hit a grandslam.
If the fielders were unable to catch before it lands, you can run and no out, if the base fielder have the ball before you arrived, then you are out.
    That's it.

Just learn the percentages and averages of pitcher and batter. Also understand the terms ERA, WHIP, etc.
Four-seam fastball, knuckleball, curveball, changeup, etc.
Read the news to know who's good batting against who. Etc.
Who's good at throwing particular kind of ball etc.

Well, if you want something better, than you've got to watch it. But honestly, I don't have the time to watch such boring game. Well, it may be because of my nationality, American and Japanese love that game.

See, some baseball lovers (or American to be exact) they say soccer is boring and nothing beautiful.
For me, you see, there is nothing sophisticated with baseball, I would say it's too simple to make some sophisticated strategy.
In soccer, I have watched the game for years, and still couldn't grasp some of the strategy, there are too much variables to consider.
Well, you get what I mean.
    Just learn about the percentages.
In soccer, if you do that (just the percentges) then you are doomed to lose.

Oh, if you are using iphone or ipad.
Download at Bat apps. Just search in app store for : at Bat
    Then subscribe.
Then you can see the action in simulation. Well, not simulation. It's just showing you what happen with the ball thrown, what kind of ball, the speed, what happened with the bases.

That's if you subscribe. If you don't, just the livescore and the box score, also the team batter and pitcher.

If you insist watching it, try to watch Yankees Vs Braves.
    It's playing live now.
It's going to be one of the most exicitng to watch, lots of runs, it's bottom of first innings now, and there are 2 homers already. Yet, I think I would still get bored.

Don't bet too much runline bro.
The margin is too big if you bet at BET365.
I know you are looking for bonus, but believe me, you should do run line only where appropriate.

One thing you have to note about runline.
The home team when leading, even by one at the 9th inning, then they aren't going to bat again.
So there are many games, where the run differences is 1.
Example: Wash Nationals today, they were leading by 1 after the 8th inning. And top of 9th inning, the away team couldn't score any runs. So there were no bottom 9th inning.

Bonus is the spice of life, I would bet money line but it doesn't have bonus. The over/under is too hard to work out so what choice do I have left? I'm still an infant with baseball so even a couple of thousand dollars invested to get my education is worthwhile.

Well, me too. I'm still an infant.
I am planning to study more.

Also, I am going to study about calculating edge and EV for a sports bet.. and baseball, I think is the easiest one to apply.
This is the only topic in the world that catch my interest since the financial market. I was captivated by financial market years ago, learn it myself, and had a big success.
Now, I'm interested on this thing. I haven't had success on approaching bet systemically or mathematically.

I know when a value is obvious, but I couldn't calculate the theoritical edge and EV for a bet.

I will rate myself very accurate with NBA and all sort of basketballs.
Tennis / Soccor is also my specialist
Baseball is interesting and I am also learning ... Absolutely small bet is okay at this stage.

But just "how accurate"? Means in number.

And, if you win, how much your edge over the specified winning odds given by the bookmaker.
    Can you calculate it?
Or in plain language, if based on your calculation, team A chance of winning is 55%, and the odds of bookmaker is 2, while based on your calculation, it's should be 1.81, then you have made a positive EV (expected value) bet. In the long run, there is no way you lose if you keep making bet like that.
Can you calculate those winning %?

Wow, conversation between experts. Percentage and others. My bet is all depends on what my guts tell me and how I feel about the bet on that day.
Bro Jj999, I'm just curious, why don't you stick with financial market ( is it buying and selling share?) since you are good with it?
