if i piss on your leg and you're wearing pants and i'm not, your jeans are going to protect you a bit
but if i try to piss on your leg while we're both wearing pants, then you're very unlikely to get wet at all
    An interesting analogy.

Though what I have read point two is a fallacy. If you are wearing trousers and I piss on them then they may protect a little bit until such time as you go to take them off and you get piss on your hands and then on your legs.

Or in the case of virus you take your mask off when you come home, don’t do it properly then touch your face with your grubby hands.

But again main point is the purpose of the mask is to protect others from you not you from others. To protect you from others you would need a full face shield which is what you see medical staff in high risk locations wearing etc.

Yes, it was about time our Premier made this requirement mandatory.

I don't know why some people are complaining about wearing a mask. It's just like putting sunglasses on your face to protect your eyes from the sun glare. A mask doesn't prevent you from talking or walking. People should be less selfish these days and consider what is best for the entire community. If we are going to stop the spread we need to work together. If masks are mandatory, lets follow the government direction in halting the spread. We don't want to be like the US or Europe where they want their freedom despite thousands of people still dying to this day.

I wear glasses and they keep steaming up and blocking my vision when I wear the mask.

In the local supermarket today, about 99% compliance.

I'd recommend cleaning your glasses with either shaving foam or dishwashing liquid. It'll help with the steaming!

I used to scuba dive and we spat on our mask lenses and rubbed it in to prevent fogging

    Pussy juice might work too

You might not be wearing it the correct way. Coloured side on the outside, the edge with the wire on top, then give the wire a squeeze to the contour of your nose, then your breath will travel downwards, not upwards.

I usually take them off before I go down, girls complain about the scratching. And it would end up on the wrong side of the lens.

Thanks Wilis, I'll try that next time

Saw the same but what's frustrating is seeing people walk in with a mask on then pull it down afterwards when past the front.

Despite the sudden uptake, I haven't noticed any shortages in shops yet.

Guess it depends on the area. I've already heard someone say they have been trying to get some but it's been sold out as they were trying to get into a store.

Bit of dressing tape or a bandage over the bridge is what is commonly done in healthcare environments, forces the air to the sides. Also encourages less playing with the mask, once it goes on better to leave it on until you need to take it off.

An old motorist trick was to rub the inside of a windscreen with raw potato to stop it misting up in wet weather.

I had a session with the Brazil girl at Pyrmont Star about 10 days ago with both of us wearing a fucking mask. When you are lying face down on the table with your head in the massage table hole, it is fucking very uncomfortable and hard to breathe. The girl was OK but a little larger than I prefer.
