A prostitute is in a critical condition with severe burns after being set alight overnight on her way to an inner Sydney brothel.
Police say a man in a dark hoodie followed the woman down a laneway at Chippendale just before 10:00pm (AEDT).

Terrible thing to do to a person. The dude must be psychotic or have serious vengeance on his mind but I can't think of anything she could have done to warrant that. Unless she murdered his kid or some shit. Hopefully she can recover. This is a dangerous biz

It's a terrible story. I'd bet ex-boss, ex-BF or current BF who's demanded she stop work but she didn't. Jealously is a terrible thing.
Pretty sure she didn't have bf. plus no need for bf to be so public. I bet its a customer she refussed to date. Would be know to her and would bet more than likely been a regular of late. Yeah come to think of it, this is quite likely. The guy chose to attack her at her place of work. He prolly only knew this place to find her. If it is her bf or someone she knows well, he could have done it near her home.
How would they try to avoid this sort of thing on the future? Employ bodyguards to escort them to work? Driving to work?
