This is a good thread that got me thinking.

If all that money were spent on encounters that left fond memories, then I can't see anything wrong with it as long as the total amount is within a budget commensurate to income.

However, I just ran a quick tally and found that in my case (and I only go for massage), about 35%-40% were spent on sessions of highly dubious value. A further breakdown shows that all such sessions were were booked without first seeing what the ML looked like, and in some cases, even after I saw them at the reception and knew that they were not my type, I still proceeded anyway (there was probably some bad psychology at work).

But these were in my early days, now with more experience I rarely make such mistakes except when in a bad mood and wanted a quick fix. (getting better at avoiding this kind of situation too).

Of course, I would be much happier if my total outlay were cut down by 30-40% and there were no regrettable experiences like these, but that's just life.

To me such spending is just a matter of buying valuable experiences, no different to travel or seeing a movie. We all know folks who spends over 10K a year on overseas trips, expensive restaurants, movies etc. As times goes on, the memories will definitely fade, but the point is that at the time it happened the stress was released so you felt refreshed and could be more productive in your work and life.

I guess this all comes back to self satisfaction.

Sometimes folk who can afford 100 feel happier than a guy spend 3000.

Every individual set a different expectation.

    A good question would be

Knowing your yearly spending, would you spend it in a different way in the future eg. Privategirls?

The trouble with private girls is in most cases you don't know what your getting they are usually more expensive and in my experience not as good as the shop girls, where they are competing with each other for your business.

Also you don't have a choice of who to see, having said that if you were to find a private that you clicked with then I think that the private surroundings and atmosphere would make it far out weigh the normal shop experience.

maybe their reasoning goes like: if some dumb guy with a fat wallet and hardon can't hold it anymore and take bait, I'll make a couple $100s off his desperation, otherwise I'll just rest.

Not sure if their financial needs can be fully met this way, but apparently lots of them are still in the market.

A PWL once told me she was not getting many customers so she put her price up and got more customers ...

    Ok, pretty big topic.

Firstly, I started a similar thread in which I said that punting has been an incredible part of my life, and feel it's really been worth the money I've put into it. I have had so much fun, such beautiful memories, and feel as if, if I died today, I'd die a happy and fulfilled man! (Although of course I want to do more things in my life still). Of course, there have been many forgettable ones, but you can minimise this by finding a place/ mLs you really like, and sticking to it.

Secondly, everyone should live according to their means. Budget punting according to your income. When I was a student, I used to save up my money and have a quality punt just once a month. When I first started working, it was fortnightly. When I began making six figures, i became a weekly punter. Then, look at the shop - is it a cheap, good priced, or expensive shop? Lastly, should you go for 1/2 hr or 1 hr? Figure out how much you can spend a year on it, and plan accordingly.

Thirdly, I have given myself a limit of once/week punting, so that it doesn't get out of control. Otherwise, it could turn into a dangerous addiction with you punting almost every night! I recall I once had 5 punts at a particular shop in one week! I'd rather put the rest towards other things like property, cars etc. and if you ever fell on hard times, you'd have more 'punting money' saved up. Plus, I find that I actually enjoy it more if it's not too often - Funny to say this, but I think if you only punted once/year, you'd probably enjoy it more each time than you would if you punted daily!

So in a nutshell, punt according to your budget, maximise satisfaction by finding a place / ML you really like and stick to that, and keep things under control.

Thats not the right way to do things, surely
Valued guys on the forum who pm me, including a guy with >1000 sessions, tell me they type down every experience, and they can review them whenever they want to relive past glories
    Thats the way to go

If I had the money to be spending >$5000 a year, I would be writing logs of every experience
Would be an invaluable memory reminder, when financial times are very tough, and also to work out who and where the best personal punts of all time
Also a permanent record of what I spent all the money on, because as you say, the experiences leave the memory pretty quickly otherwise

Being unemployed, I can only marvel at the luck some men have with money, or at least with spending it lavishly
And to find some are 'living the life', and are not writing a personal description of each experience - wtf?

And if I was one of those lucky men who pay >$400 a session, I would definitely be putting on paper (or in this forum) every detail of every session
It would be an effort like Rooter, not just one paragraph, but an A4 page minimum
Im not used to blowing such amounts of money, and having absolutely nothing to show for it, or have no memories for the spends

Then again, if I did have the frequent experiences of others, maybe I'd be too tired to document anything anywhere

    Peace
Harmony, it's a great idea to make a punting diary. I never have done it though as I didn't want it to ever 'fall into the wrong hands'! What's strange is I've just started writing down some of my old experiences, as I was really missing those girls. This is a great way to relive those times, almost like Stepping back in a time machine!

I think I can remember most of the punts that I've had in detail if I try hard enough, at least the highlights of each session, but then again, it may be a different story after 25 years! Memories do start to fade and get mixed up. I keep a 'record sheet' with the girls name/details, and the no. Of times I saw her - it's amazing reading back and thinking ' wow, I saw that girl so many times?' I don't believe that!'. It also can get a bit confusing with shops - did I see this girl at this shop or that shop? Honestly, some false/altered memories can spring up! The record sheet helps me remember them.

Lastly, Harmony, you mentioned you are currently unemployed? That's sad to hear. My advice would be:
    1) Do everything you can to find employment. I won't go into this, but take a seminar or two
    2) Do not punt! You can't afford it for now.
    3) Write some old punting memories like I am to Relive them. It's almost like being there again!
    4) Watch some good porn. I seriously think that watching really good porn is better than a mediocre punting session.

The girls come out in front especially when some can make $1000-$2000 per day and we punters find we need to go to the ATM on a frequent basis to finance our visits.

Mate, it's great to see that you are reading all the old posts, but in case you haven't noticed yet, Brother Harmony - unfortunately had been banned around 9 months ago, so your reply directed to him probably is not gonna get anywhere !

Haha, I did try to keep his own photo thread Alive until recently, in case he is making a return, but no sight of him yet.

    cheers
