Sex workers rights, dangerous locations etc are fair points but obviously someone has to pay for all those things.

I always laugh when the mainstream press/media publishes a sex story.
It could be a moral panic sex is evil and destroying society story or it could be a sex as the saviour of humanity story, they don't really care, it's sex, and sex sells and they know it. It used to sell newspapers back in the day and now it gets clicks :). Either way its advertising revenue.
