How often we decide not to punt for financial or other reasons but soon we are at the old tricks again doing the 2/3 punts a week.
I'm guilty of breaking my words all too often. My reason are mainly guilty conscience and financial.
1. I start with marking on the calendar the money I withdraw from the bank for punting e.g. this month April 4: $300, April 13: $300, April $250 (I still have the last withdrawal in my wallet). In this way I know a monthly limit which I should not go over. For me it's around $1000 a month.
2. I set realistic target by week e.g. this week I would avoid setting my feet in a massage parlour. I know there are two more weeks left until we finish the month. 7 days are a easier target. Hopefully this week I would be fairly busy enough with work to pass it without drama.
Then comes next week I'll face the devil when I need too. If I could last the two weeks I'll be under the monthly $1000 target I set myself.
I know there is quiet a bit of self-control in it. But hey if I make it I laugh if I don't I won't cry.
