My experience it varies, some shops the time starts as soon as I enter the room when the girl isn't there.

You can, but if you do that you make a name for yourself pretty quickly and they just won’t see you hey. Setting your own time is generally very bad etiquette, I’d chalk it up to experience and just hope you didn’t spend too much and not go back there

The time you spend showering is a part of the time. Still shower properly, but don’t take a 20 minute shower and then think you still have 30m left. After the buzzer you still have time left, but getting dressed and leaving is a part of your time so generally after the buzzer it means yes you have time- to shower and leave. The sex part is over. The good etiquette is to let you keep going for a minute in case you’re about to come, or just stop if you’re not close. So say “I’m about to come” if you are, and if not get up.
