When I started punting in the late 90’s, I never kept any records, written, photographic or otherwise of my punts. I viewed punting as only an outlet where I could get a sure fuck, even if was mediocre, whenever I didn’t score a root clubbing or elsewhere for free, which was most of the time.

I compare my punts in a myriad of ways, such as:

It sounds like you have a methodical approach to your experiences, mate! Keeping records and notes can be a way to document your personal journey and remember your encounters, especially when they are meaningful or memorable. It's a way to capture those moments and the feelings associated with them.

I generally keep a record of names but only in the last 2 or 3 years of punting. Anything noteworthy I just write an AR and it becomes my online journal
