Sorry all, I was just having a laugh as she literally has a bed - frame and all - set up on the sidewalk. I’m sure anyone who has walked by knows what I’m talking about. (Obviously she gets picked up, doesn’t service anyone on the sidewalk - I think.) I guess I’m just shocked she is able to set up there permanently right in front of houses/businesses. I’m from another country and that would not fly after a few days, tops.

Interestingly enough the back streets of Darlinghurst behind William Street ( and the infamous Wall ) is where stuff like that used to happen. In order to prevent cars cruising for prostitution they turned the back street into a series of complication one way & no entry signs.

What was the Wall? I’ve only been here a few months and I come from somewhere where punting is still illegal, so streetwalkers are much more common than here, it seems. Obviously when it is legal here, going to brothels is a much better option.

In the 80's & not for long in the 90's on a massive sandstone wall ( hence the name, historically it was Darlinghurst Gaol ) on Darlinghurst Road underage rent boys & rent girls used to stand there waiting to be picked up by men from all stratas of society from their cars. Quite sad really.
