Any GP can give you a referral for a HIV test and for multiple STD tests. HIV is around so you need to be careful.

I usually get a blood test and urine test which screens a broad amount of STI's by my GP. I can't remember on the type of STI's it screens for. But if you were concerned, you should either try a different GP or come back to the same GP asking if you need a specific test for the disease you're worried for. You should get retested if symptoms appear. Good luck!
