If you have a great session with a W/L, don’t get caught by your misses, stay STI free, than its like winning the lottery,
Because every time you punt you are taking a risk.

I avoid lotteries, casinos, poker machines and sports betting, always and forever, for the same reason
They are there to make someone else rich, definitely not the dumb mug punter
The mug punter is a perennial sucker, generally the person who can afford a loss, the least. How much can you afford to lose?

I can afford to loose the money I use to punt and whatever lottery ticket I buy from time to time.

Last week I won $36 in the Powerball, last year I won $3831 on Powerball , and about 6 years ago I won $9364 in Powerball as well. Plenty of other times I have got nothing.

Biggest win for me was close to $8k on a powerhit system 8 (?) a couple of years ago. I also won close to 4k on a regular Oz lotto game many years ago. There was no online stuff back then so they sent me a cheque, lol...
The worst thing about winning something bigger on lotto is knowing that you came very close to winning the big one but missed out!
I found a hot poker player and I backed him. Consequently I’m ahead in money and have stopped gambling. Now the only risk I take is falling in love but thankfully I hear enough bad luck stories of that genre to not roll that dice.

I don't touch the pokies & rarely gamble at all these days, except for an occasional hit on Keno or a few lottery tickets every now & then. My biggest win ever was on Keno & a whole $125. Woopeee!

Playing lotto is just like punting - but with virtually no chance of a successful outcome.
Save up those lotto tickets and treat yourself to a nice massage instead.

I would consider a majority of my punts are substantial! But hoping the 200 Million this thursday is good!

Once I won enough Lotto to buy a small massage parlour in a run-down back lane of an inner surburb. My clients were mainly blue collar tradies having a quickie on their way home to their dear wives and kids.
The girls were mainly 40 years old Milfs and spoke no English. I was the only one who read Milton, Orwell, DH Lawrence etc.
Eventually I sold it for a song to go to Uni to study English Literature.

Most I've won is a few hundred dollars. The guy at the newsagent made it sound like it was the jackpot.
