Yep Andrew , after only recently starting punting again and with a vengence this year. Was curious even before this thread started how much I was spending . Last year was a bit of a so so time but the beginning of this year I ran hot . As mentioned before I*m in my mid 60s , still fit slim , youngish looking and single and spending a combination of savings , redundancy , super , investments , term deposits and compo . Yep Andrew , after only recently starting punting again and with a vengence this year. Was curious even before this thread started how much I was spending . Last year was a bit of a so so time but the beginning of this year I ran hot . As mentioned before I*m in my mid 60s , still fit slim , youngish looking and single and spending a combination of savings , redundancy , super , investments , term deposits and compo . Have had to budget lately , as not so much spending too much but didn*t need the lavish hotels for outcalls to set the mood and tend to do incalls as I get on well with the regulars (hotels separately came in at just around 14K from Meriton World Tower Penthouse to Pullman at Cirular Quay and Crown Hotel Barrangaroo) .. life is good ! The numbers in this thread are quite sobering. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying things within their means. That being said, I find it’s critical to keep things under control and not spiral.

Hopefully it is sustainable and a happy medium for most. I have found pulling back I have enjoyed my punts far more than a decade ago. Something to look forward to… a new shop… a return visit. You want those butterflies if there is a way to still get them
