View Full Version : Question Do discounts really encourage y'all to go to the shops more?

Since I came back, I started seeing some shops running discounts on bookings. Most recently, N5M just announced a $20/$10 off for pre-bookings.

So my questions are:
1) Is the economy really getting to the a point where shops, even the higher profile ones like N5M, need to run promotions to get business? Or are they just jumping the gun and trying to take more market share before it gets really bad? I didn't see any promotions like these last year.

2) Do these discount actually work? Do y'all actually thinking of going more often because of $20 off?

Essentially, I wanna know why are certain shops doing marketing and how effective are these strategies. Your thoughts?

Cheers

Discounts definitely work, unless they're offering me a discount to write a POSITIVE review.

I'll happily accept any/all discounts to give the brothers here a legitimate review though.

Discounts work more so now than ever. I see more discounts coming and they will will be the new standard prices bringing them closer in line with where they should be. I mean fuck me they have gone up massively in the last 4 years. A 1 hr massage, not including extras has gone up 45%. Its the type of service that will always be needed, but is a luxury, and even the hardest addicts will cut back on the amount of punts they have in times like this.

Have a bad time? Tell reception, get discount next time.
Have a good time? Tell reception, write a review, get a discount for next time.

Either way, be a good person, talk to reception and work with them. Most of the good ones want feedback either way.

Any two girls get one free deal?

Appreciate the views of others, but $10 is not going to be the difference between seeing someone I want to see and going to another shop. There would have to be two girls I want to see equally, and the shop offering a discount would have to be as convenient to visit. It’s a nice bonus though if I was going there anyway.

N5 Marrickville currently offering $20 off if booking a day in advance. Good business I reckon

It is a nice push as I have been eyeing on two J girls from N5M that I wanted to try. I was hesitant because there is no reviews on these two girls so feeling a bit risky. Plus N5M is 7-10mins further away compared to Ginza

I never book the day before. At best one to two hours beforehand when I know for sure that I'm going. So a $20 discount is not going to change the way I punt. I hate cancelling if for whatever reason I can't make it.

What I think will happen is that some punters who aren't fully committed to going the next day will make bookings the day before to save 20 bucks and then cancel the next day. And yes you will get away with this maybe once or if lucky twice but the third time they will definitely tell you to fuck off.

This ain't the first time N5M has discounted. If you go back to start of 2020 when a mystery virus started to scare people off, they reduced the price by $20 on a 1 hour booking. Judging from the foot traffic, they've seem to maintain a healthy flow of customers. Without seeing their books, I'm only speculating it did ok for them.

I remember a 1 hour booking was $210 for diamond, I was there nearly everyday pre-lockdowns. Now I haven't been back since the rate rises.

Can anyone confirm that the prices haven't just been jacked up $20 to accommodate this deal?

I believe the discount but who is wearing it?

The SW or the house.

I can’t comment on the discount because my tips are equal to or above the hourly rate for each girl.

Sounds like a decent offer to me. $20 bucks for the day before $10 bucks if you book more than an hour before I think

$20 is a decent discount especially for regulars because it adds up.

It's certainly enough to steer some punters away from shops with no discounts.

Discounts definitely will catch eyeballs, but you need to consider how real it is. Increasing price for $20 then give you a conditional discount for $10 is not really a thing…

I'm also in the camp of $20 doesn't sway me from a girl I want to see, but if it's someone I'm already seeing there, then why not. Money is money after all.

Discounts don’t make a difference for me at all. I just noticed n5m offering discounts. I never thought I would see the day that a brothel in Sydney such as n5m would offer discounts. Dang it!

I was quite surprised to see it too, given their status and how popular they are

They should do a punch ticket like at a coffee shop you go in for 3 punts and you get a 50% discount on the next

It depends if you’re the kinda guy who worries about fuel prices? If you are then $20 means something.

Honestly I think you’re a dead set flog but if you’re worrying about 20 bucks you shouldn’t be looking for and RNT you should be looking for a job

Oi, 20 bucks goes a long way. It pays for hours of electricity needed to spam a sex forum with shit posts and figments of one's imagination, for example.

Is it really a discount? They increased the rates over 30 percent and now offering 10 percent discount. It's more like boxing day sales!

If I want to see a girl, I will go ahead with a booking.A discount won't change my mind. Likewise I won't burn my money on anything just because I get a 20 dollars discount.

I spend more than that every morning buying breakfast for destitute people. Maybe you misread things.

Fun fact, my electricity bill surpasses all on this forum Goldfinger. Happy? Just because you don’t comprehend isn’t my fault. Perhaps you weren’t fed well as a child, maybe you fell on your head?Only you know the answer.

My posts are shit?

Am I supposed to write in accordance with your scripture? Perhaps I should send my posts to you for vetting before upload. Would you like that? Look I totally understand you’re stuck at home in some northshore dive with a frumpy woman but that’s not my worry. That your only sexual release is through this forum and that you’ve even designated this place a “sex” forum in some sort of half arsed attempt to fool yourself into thinking you’re actually doing it. Doing the act by writing about it.

I don’t need to generate any fiction as my life is already full enough. My cup runneth over, get it.

It’s only yourself Goldfinger and a few others who doubt. No doubt you want but cannot have. I’ve never cast doubt against any other member here but some of you see but cannot believe, touch but cannot feel, read but cannot comprehend, breathe but cannot live and start threads about all your woes. Cost of a punt, trouble with women etc etc etc. I feed your insecurities so you should be happy. I give you a sense of self worth knowing that you post something that I may grace with a reply. You wait and search for my posts with salivating anticipation. I contribute so you should be happy.

I tell the truth about my life and that makes you unhappy?

There’s no pleasuring or pleasing some people.

Yeah, quite a good deal especially if you use it with 30 min bookings. $20 off $170 feels a lot better than $20 off $270, lol...

To answer OPs question though, this level of discount wouldn't sway my decision to punt. Assuming I'm horny and wanted some action, I don't punt because I want to save money. Chasing a $20 discount by paying $150, that's not conducive to saving money. I'll just not pay anything at all.

One thing I'm curious about is why they structured the discount around bookings. Are bookings really that important to them?

I feel like them having jacked the prices up so much in recent times - these "discounts" feel semi-disingenuous / just bring the prices slightly back to the "normal" range.

Anyone else feel the same?
