Mate, prostitution is illegal in China. Respect the country's law.

It's illegal there like it's illegal in Pattaya.

I think it's dominated by outcall services.
Most hotels you go to will have women slide thier card under your door.

Imagine disrespecting the rule of law because it's "very abundant there".

We as Australians, citizens of 1st world countries, have an implicit duty to be a model global citizen. Maybe you weren't born here so you don't know this but I'm teaching you that now.

Prostitution is largely legal in most Australian states because we're a country that respects individual liberties. The freedom to be a sex worker, whether through digital or real life avenues.

Some countries make prostitution illegal such as developing countries e.g. Thailand and China because to engage in such would contribute to the moral decadence of those countries. It's different for developed nations because developed nations already have a solid moral framework and prostitution isn't framed as exploitative; BUT when you, a 1st world citizen, go to a developing nation with a wealth per capita 1\10 (1/5 in the case of China) of yours and you contribute to the black market of prostitution you, as a global citizen, are contributing to moral decadence.

Have some integrity. It's your duty as an Australian. This is noblesse oblige.

China is a developing country???

Tell me you've only been to the handful of China's first tier cities without telling me.

Just because you've lived in the city center of Shanghai doesn't make it a representative of China lmao. Developed countries are judged by their GDP per capita which China only sits at $14000 USD per year. The fact you don't even acknowledge this shows your bigotry.

Here's a list from the government which is more authoritative than your opinion.
https://www.dfat.gov.au/aid/who-we-work-with/ngos/list-of-developing-countries

You're welcome. If you want more clarification a simple Google on a list of developing countries will give you the answers.

Such a shame that we have so many overly confident idiots in this country who gets things wrong despite the opportunities available to learn.

And you come across like a bogan scum. Good to see you had no actual rebuttal. Being a bogan stopped in fashion after the 00s. Time for you to be an adult now.

For you to equate civic duty as a "fuckwit political wannabe" shows how lowly and in the gutter you are champ. I bet you're a criminal. Fucking no voter.

Keep being scum lmao.

Oh boy, you really are a dreg of society. Your points shows how basic and selfish you are. You are someone who has truly fallen into depravity. What nerve did you touch? You must be from the shit parts of Sydney to come up with those insults from the 2000s. Being politically informed is bad? That sort of anti-intellectualism died after the 2000s. You're from the past mate. Nothing wrong with being single and nothing wrong with living with your parents these days either. I know you never left Campbelltown but Sydney has moved on now.

You will find that many hairdressing shops are a front for working girls at the back of the shop.

If you stay at hotels, you can order room-service massages and can tip for happy endings.

Beware of women approaching you and inviting you to have tea with them at tea houses. You will end up paying unbelievably huge prices for the tea.

Overall, you will be approached by strangers in the busy areas offering to introduce you to girls. Same with those offering to take you to buy fake watches.

Sex is available for sake in every country, even in Saudi Arabia.

Not really. Prostitution was rampant from the early 90s to 2018. After the 20th plenum or 19th i forget but it was 2018, it was a nationwide crackdown. They realized a lot of men were fucking hookers instead of marrying and having kids (in china when you marry you have to give a dowry to the wives family ranging from 100k to 500k). A high class model prostitute cost 1k in 2018. Young girl street walkers were 150 a pop rmb. So a marriage means 1000-3000 girls worth of fun. Simply calculation no man wanted marriage.

Now i talk to my mates in mainland and ask if i should go back to punt and all of them say its dead and avoid at all costs.

My mates in thailand is also complaining thailand is getting too expensive.

So not many places left in asia tbh. Maybe time to move to South America or post war Russia/Ukraine

Surprised IF illegal , one thing stating it another enforcing it (regardless of Wikipedia). I did a quick Goggle search *Escorts China* and there*s a number of sites PLUS a plethora of escorts .https://escorthub.org/escorts-from/shanghai/page/2/ being one and I have my eye on this site , and Shanghai Cathy whom I*ve already booked when she tours Sydney later this year (as advertised on Scarletblue) , missed her on her last tour but has good reviews on other forums . Illegal it may be but looks like prostitution still goes on , just a case of be wary or take your chance

Plenty of men do want to get married but there's not enough women because of the one child policy. Younger Chinese women are increasingly less interested in marriage.

China wants to put up a front that it's extremely conservative. Like Ned Flanders conservative.

Hence no porn industry. Their movies are wholesome. and no sex work.

But that's to have "FACE"

Reality is very much different.

It's extremely hard to police sex work. There is no law against 2 strangers sleeping with each other. You pay a girl to sing K with you, and so happens she wants to go home with you because she likes you so much.

I'm off to work in Beijing for a couple of months.

Don't listen to all the negative talk. Unless you have actually been to China, don't believe what you hear and read on western media.
I have been to Shenzhen and Zhongguan several times for business, and each visit, I am amazed by the level of hospitality.
It's about who you know, the connections, and relationships. You will have a blast.
Your manager and colleagues will connect you to anything you desire. Don't be shy to ask them.
There will be restrictions on your internet due to censorship, so here are a couple of tips: get a VPN and set up digital payment with a temporary or throwaway card.
You will not be scammed, just have a bit of common sense. You will feel safe even at night.
Enjoy!

It's not illegal.

From Nord VPN

Are VPNs legal in China?
Yes, it is technically legal to use a VPN China. Even though China has severe restrictions on VPN usage and blocks many VPN providers, VPNs exist in a legal gray area. However, many consumers still use VPNs for internet access.

Officially, the Chinese government has banned the use of VPNs not approved by the government: VPNs must provide the government backdoor access to be approved, which renders them unsecure.

Chinese citizens found creating or selling unapproved VPNs have received fines and prison sentences anywhere from three days to more than five years, but these are applied inconsistently.

-----------

Basically if you do anything in china. Government can listen in on you.
They have backdoor to VPN services that work in china.

What a load of fucken horse shit!

if you're too fucken scared doing a reconno to get your dick sucked, look for the giant fish bowls located in the basement of most major western hotels.

IF caught (and that's a big fucken if) the punter can be fined 5000 RMB or possibly detained for 2 weeks (with questioning, interrogation, anal probing, electric shock to the testicles, waterboarding etc.....just like in the movies).

The agent/organiser can get 5 yrs imprisonment (with hard labour in some fucken grotty Gulag....just like in the movies) so technically they have more to lose than the fat ugly middle aged balding punter looking to get his dick wet.

Prostitution is widely accessible and available in every corner of the fucken planet, but I'd be more concerned in getting ghono or chlamy in a foreign country.

Now with drugs? That's a whole new fucken ball game!
