The day use rooms that some hotels use to provide (on dayuse.com) are much harder to find than they were a few years ago. Looks like most, in the CBD at least, have pulled out. Anyone know of any alternatives?
Perhaps there's a great opportunity for an enterprising massage/brothel operator to offer a side hustle, along the lines of those Japanese love hotels, where you can rent a room by the hour to meet up with your beloved. From what I've seen in Japanese movies (no, not that type of movie), the rooms in these hotels are similar to what we'd find in a Brisbane brothel - clean and comfortable and fit for purpose, but also with a range of accessories and consumables available - and not a disgusting rat hole like some places around town.

Some fairly massive points why this concept would struggle here. Supply/demand - along with the various kinks, most love hotels cater for couples who just need space away from the parents they live with. Also.. population...

This would be a maintenance nightmare. Japanese are typically more respectful and less likely to cause chaos.

The old Ibis Windsor has left the Accor group and and is now independent offering "24 hour" checkin as Imperial Motel Windsor. BYO toys.

My apartment in the cbd could be a viable option for the right price/benefit ;)

During and in between COVID lockdowns they needed to offer this to keep money flowing but they don't now, which is why so many don't do it and the prices have gone up a lot.

I cant see this working at a price much below the daily room rate. The room would need cleaning from the previous guest and cleaning again after your hour of pleasure. Book in is usually after 2pm, so with use, cleaning and other time considerations, it would make the room unbookable for that day. Maybe some sleeze joint with unwashed sheets. How romantic.

about $140-$150 is the dayuse rate in Brisbane. City places charge for parking which is on top.

I've been getting a place in Springhill for 6 hours. I work a little, she comes over. we do stuff then she checks her phone while I do some work. then we do it more. It's cost effective and keeps the rest of my life clean. I usually bill clients for this time as well.

Hmmmmm not a bad idea. Rent a bed for a few hours for the right reward.

There's usually some midweek specials and some booking in advance type deals. Depends on the hours you want to fuck.
When I was seeing a few Seeking girls I would look for a good price then give the ladies the room
One girl I would for a weekend night get there at 2pm. Fuck from 2-6 then take off and let her have after room in the city. And gave her say 200 cash and then I would every now and then even visit her in the morning for a quickly before check out then drop her home. They really enjoyed it and a free night for them and a great night and morning for me

Midweek there are some bargains. The name escapes me but the motel around the corner from the Morrison had a midweek rate of 160. I was working nights at that time so worked out well. Fuck from 2-7/8 sometimes later. Work then visit in the morning. The girls really loved air con in summer too as some of them didn't have it where they were living

Do any of them except cash or are they only excepting cards?

Most places still accept cash. But you will still have to present a card for them to use as security and possibly a deposit

that is annoying. It is possible to use cash also a deposit but that gets hard. I just use a debit card with $200 on it for this purpose. The transaction disappears after a few days and the funds are available again.

Disposable visa/mastercards may work.
Afterpay also can be used to hide stuff

Acacia Ridge said they'd do it, but charge two nights 🤪

So they have a 1 night for the price of 2 policy? Good plan.

Acacia Ridge said they'd do it, but charge two nights 🤪

so they don't really understand day use as they reasonably aren't setup for late afternoon housekeeping.

what the management is missing is that unless they have full occupancy every night they can just let the day use room unavailable overnight and have it cleaned the next day.

the strategy I use with similar venues is an expectation that at least one room is available from midday for an early checkin. I phone them on the day and ask if I can pay early and drop things to the room early before I head to the city.

Thanks, good points. Alternatively, if you are a morning person I guess you could ask for late check-out (but it means checking in the night before).

Here's what I'd like to see - massage shops that a) allow you to book a room for an hour or two with a BYO masseuse, and b) provide a room with a bed instead of a massage table. Happy to pay a bit more than the regular hourly rate if they keep it clean and comfortable. I know a few that do a) and one that does b), but not both.

Adds to the excitement fucking in a 2 star motel! Bed head banging against the fibro wall!

Love it. I've been looking at something similar due to a change in circumstances.

Has anyone found a decent motel in the cbd or Brisbane outskirts that doesn’t use the lift swipe card ?
Or has an intercom to call guests up ?

There was a places I stayed at in Sydney that used swipe cards but if a guest buzzed up with the intercom to your room it allowed them brief access to the floor they buzzed without a swipe card

Does anyone know of similar around brissy ?

The summit appartments in Spring Hill doesn’t have swipe cards, used it to meet SB’s and just leave the keys on the kitchen counter when I leave .
