Maybe it's common knowledge but I was watching an Instagram video and saw this for Apple phones
- luckily it only showed the shop next to the massage shop I had just been to the other day but scared the hell out of me

Significant locations

I opted to clear history and turn off :-)

Anyway even if it helps one person

Good advice. When I was visiting Glades 42, Anytime Fitness on Buffalo Road was showing as a "significant location". Anytime fitness is across the road and its generally where I park when I visit.

For sure. Thanks for the heads up. Good info for some of our bros here who are married or in a relationship

Even the Tesla or car with a dash cam parked across the road is recording you going into the shops

Geez. You scared me. Android has this too. Just checked and lucky this feature is off. Watching to droid bros to check.

My location is off usually to save battery but data is on.

What about the find my device feature? If you have multiple Apple devices synced then you can use one device to see the location of the others.

I normally turn off my GPS location before punting and turn it back on when I get home

A number of years ago when I was using android, it would show you where you parked your car. So many times I would get out of my car and a notification would pop up showing where my car was parked. I turned that feature off immediately.

iPhone needs faceID to unlock that service by the way. Just make sure yours is the only face registered to your phone

I don't think any law enforcing agency cares if you go to a dodgy joint to get your ding dong serviced.

I leave my phone in my work locker. Punt just down the road so no inconvenience.

I have 192 records in my significant location summary but there is no way to view them so I don’t see a need to mess with the setting.

My advice is always be aware of your environment, so if you run into somebody you know you can cover your arse and say you are here for the business next door, and the same goes for your misses if she checks your location,
