View Full Version : General talk Getting tested for STIs

No drama but recently got recommended by a WL to get tested for STIs as she said that there had been a recent outbreak of gonorrhoea and chlamydia.
Though I hadn*t seen her for a while and NOT making veiled suggestions that either she gave me or I gave her any STI I decided to get tested.
I had thought about getting tested for STIs but never got around to doing it and given the regular punting I do , would be a sensible thing to do.
While she says she getstested every 7-10 days , my doctor recommended only every 3 months unless showing symptoms
Just wondering how others go and get tested , if at all.

Once a year maybe, only if I feel something or notice something after a bbj which is the most I ever do.
Simple full panel std test. Pee. Blood. Swab.

Does anyone have a recommendation as to where you can go to do this discreetly if one doesn't want to go to your regular doctor?

Go and see a witch doctor bro. They're quite common in suburbs where African and/or Indian communities mingle.

look up sexual health clinics on NSW health website. find one closest to you. although not all open everyday or has a timeslot for several days or weeks. so may need to call around. they do ask a few questions about your history though but don't worry, they've heard it all. just be honest.

Agree ~ easy, relatively quick, non judgemental and totally professional.

I've heard this too.
I just ask my GP to throw in an STI panel with regular bloodwork once a year. He barely remembers my name so I'm not concerned if he wants to ask why I need it.

When I ask my GP, he looks a bit surprised, calls in all the office staff, and they give me a standing ovation.
Seriously, it's like asking for helper pills. It's a medical test for medical reasons. Period.

Just make sure you request that the pathology lab does not add your STD test results to the database, which any GP can access in a future visit.
Sometimes you don't want your past to pop up... years later.

I’ve had a GP threaten to contact my partner via Medicare that I’ve requested STI tests. I have been concerned ever since that they are not private at all. If you test positive, these results are registered. I wish the process was more secure…

Online Instascripts. It a phone call. Then they send you a referral via phone for blood test at a pathology centre of your choice. The doctor will then call you with results. Dead easy. I found it worked really well. Also was happy with results which stopped my worrying. Ill go annually or less if I think Ive had a sus encounter.

Interesting , why would the GP threaten to contact your partner ? Whatever happened to patient confidentiality ?

Thought doctors in Australia have to follow the declaration of geneva, which insure confidentiality of the patient even after death.
Double_Adapter
25-01-2025, 08:13 AM
Whilst the law does require consultations with a doctor to be confidential, there are situations where the doctor may be required (by law) to report information if they have serious concerns about your health and/or someone else's health/safety.
for any very busy wl/ml is once a week, for the rest is every 2 weeks.
'''my doctor recommended only every 3 months unless showing symptoms''' ... if you visit shops every week and you have Ginza service, this is a very wrong advice.
-urine test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, mycoplasma, trichomoniasis and full UTI.
-throat swab test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, mycoplasma, trichomoniasis.
-also, throat swab test for staph and strept infections and common cold viruses.
... these tests are super easy and in three full days you have the results, and you play safe.
So, if you visit the shops every week and you do 'diamond service' you need to do the above tests at least once a month [and especially in case you have any bb] or the next day after the first symptom.

Stigma health is good for online scripts. You can buy more than one script in advance too so you have repeats. I only test after I go raw

Just be aware that the code for the GP visit appears on your medical history on mygov, even if you opted out of the medical records scheme, whatever that's called. An inquisitive partner could find it. Hence sexual health clinics are the most discreet as you can request not to go through Medicare.

I tried to put a post up before Christmas but for some reason it didn’t upload.
But I caught a std from a popular girl working at N5M. I got tested a few weeks after my visit as I sensed something was up. I don’t punt often so was a simple for me to know. Result coming back positive (chlamydia). I notified the shop trying to do right thing. All I can say is I never saw the girl come off the roster and still working.

No not from bareback. Not something that I would participate in personally but all the usual activities bbbj daty etc …
Wont be posting the name out here publicly as against forum rules .. not looking to get banned or stir up anything. End of the day it’s the risk we all take when punting. Bit of a wake up call that it happens and am left to wonder if the information was ever passed on to the girl..

It is important also to test for micro plasma. There is a version around which is resistant to the usual antibiotics. It also requires separate testing from chlamydia and gonorrhoea. When girls are here for a limited period of time they are probably reluctant to stop working waiting until tests come back or Antibiotics have had a chance to work. Also they risk reinfected while waiting. itÂ’s a good reason for punters to enjoy the safety of a condom.

Can you PM me the girl so I can skip as I was planning to go N5M soon
Also what did the shop say when you told them?
It's a bit worrying if they were told by customer about this and didn't bother to reply and or ignored it and just let the girl keep working....
I thought with the big and popular shops like N5M they would take this more seriously and have customer safety more important or at least they can tell you we ask her to get tested and it came back negative?
that would be some kind of comfort.

Chlamydia is very common . Chances are you will catch it if you take the risk of participating in any unsafe sex.
It is easily to treat should you catch it but if you have a partner beware as it’s very easily spread

Had a busy December (for me) and averaged a punt a week. Christmas morning I wake up and start peeing all over the place. As the day goes on get the burn. Tested the next day and was chlamydia. Think it was the pussy slide from the last RnT I had but could have been the FS punt the week before that (pussy slide and bbbj). Fortunately the wife and I aren’t intimate so no difficult conversations required. But definitely a lot going round. Stay sensible.

No5 Marrickville cannot even manage their own bookings. And cannot even manage their own staff/girls cancelling bookings, messing up bookings and refusing to see customers...
And they cannot even be honest about booking problems.
So what make's you think can they will be honest about this STI issue and that they can manage a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) problem? 555

I'm generally super careful. Panic after bbbj or even dfk. Had a scare over Christmas where I'd seen a WL, dfk and bbbj, then a few days later CBJ at a massage place. When checking my tackle later that day noticed 2 dark blue marks on bellend. Terrified of what it might have been, went away after 3.or.4 days. I'm 99.9% sure it was from the CBJ, the chick almost sucked my insides out through my cock. I won't be going back to either service provider

Probably goes without saying but you can get a doxypep script from the online script services very easily if you're ever scared. They'll do a quick phone call, just say you met a gal at a pub last night and didn't know her too well but want to be better safe than sorry, done in 30 seconds.

Hmmm yeah nah - Doxy comes in two flavours pre exposure (PrEP) and post exposure (PEP)
I get tested free at least monthly... no biggie the govt has places all over... never ever blame a WL... they are tested all the time
Be a man and get tested yourself and stfu
DO NOT USE YOUR GP as they keep records and it may appear in Medicare records (for you sad ass married sods)
Always get
Throat Swab
Bloods
Urine
for all major STI
e.g. Oral Gonnorhea is all over WA and SA currently
---
-urine test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, mycoplasma, trichomoniasis and full UTI.

if you don't have bb you don't need to do blood test [ urine and throat are enough ] for any STI/STD.
Unless of course you are having a session with ml or wl who has STI/STD symptoms ... but who is going to see someone with symptoms?
Hmmm yeah nah - Doxy comes in two flavours pre exposure (PrEP) and post exposure (PEP)

Yes, many are taking 2 pills of doxy [ 100mg ] in 24 hours window after the session.
Also drink water and urine after the session immediately is so important, please say this to everybody, I found out that many [ include ml/wl] doesn't know this simple rule.
Also, has always amoxicillin [ 500mg ] in your home is useful.

Sorry to add but most ORAL STI have no symptoms. You can be positive and never know
Please get tested especially if you are married with kids. Some bacteria can be passed by kissing
So if a girl with oral STD gives me head then we have sex, we can then both get genital STD's too from that

Yep. She couldve gotten from BBBJ or DATY of previous guy and pass it to you. It's all exchange of fluids accessing your body. If you have a cut on your finger when FIV, deep DFK, BBBJ etc. Tho these are generally lower risk than if you bareback clearly but the risk zero doesn't exist in punting.
Get tested lads

Chlamydia (Chlamydia trachomatis)
Gonorrhea (Neisseria gonorrhoeae)
Syphilis (Treponema pallidum)
Herpes (herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2)
HPV (human papillomavirus)
HIV (human immunodeficiency virus)

But don't get put off if they handle your junk, also a senior doc attending as usually the ones who see you are recent grad's doing their time. Easy process anyway. Swabs they can give results pretty well within day. Bloods will take 3 days, and they message you to call them for the result. Easy, don't use a GP, go to one of the Sexual health clinics. It is a reportable disease but you are just a number, not a name and will not be identified on the report. I doubt that any GP would report your private health record to your partner because to do so he would break the law..

Been mostly going to my GP but want to avoid him going forward, bit a of judgemental cunt
Couldn't agree with you more. My family GP ages ago recommended I go to the Camperdown STI clinic for privacy, sic GP's are obligated to report it to the Health Dept, and worse still may inform your partner if warranted. So have been going ever since, 4 times a year in fact, altho they recommend at least monthly based on punting frequency of course.

What's the go with that. I've usually go to my local medical center for check ups etc but I've heard my mate saying he went to a sexual health clinic instead of the GP.
Is it more streamline and quicker service and results quicker??
Just with my GP after you wait for the consultation, then wait to go in for the test, they want you to come back again to get the results whether positive or negative, do sex clinics tell you over the phone or text your results so as you know you need to return to get further test or treatment???
Just does my head having to wait at a busy medical center just to get a "your all clear" rather than over the phone etc

I haven't been through the GP route so I can't compare. There were available spots on the day so they fitted me in, if it's fully booked I'll have to book in and come again for another day.
The sex clinics call me for the test result. If it's negative then all good, if it's positive then I have to come back for the treatment. I remembered it took about 3 or 4 business days for the test result.
Also the clinics would be more specialised as they deal with this stuff constantly. I felt GP is a bit more generalised and may not provide the best expertise in this matter.
Take 2 pills of doxy [ 100mg ] in 24 hours window after the session. This [ plus see below the basic routine ] can almost erase the possibilities down to a very low percent for to get chlamydia, mycoplasma, trichomoniasis, syphilis, UTI and in general bacteria. About the gonorrhea is a bit more complicated because of the new variants but still these two things can help you up to 50% to don't get gonorrhea.
- Also, has always amoxicillin [ 500mg ] in your home is useful.
---Drink water and urine immediately [ or even during the session in case you see someone for an hour or longer ] after the session is so important, I found out that many [ including ml/wl] doesn't know about this simple rule / routine.---
---
-urine test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, mycoplasma, trichomoniasis and full UTI.

bb anal is the highest risk, bbfs is high risk, dfk and daty are the next and then bbbj / cim.

if you have bb, be sure that you are using a lube even if her vagina is wet, the wetter her vagina is, the harder it is to get any sti / std or UTI.
-dry or no very wet vagina has a very high risk to get sti / std or UTI.

-herpes you can get only if there is outbreak, so you can easily spot this in the session and in case you see any strange pimples, just stop the session.
- also, any strange discharge or smell from the vagina, simply stop the session.
-about HIV you know is not easy to get it unless ...

I don't think this is proper medical advice. Taking antibiotics at such short intervals, infrequently and not using them as a full course is one of the reason we have multiple strains of antibiotic resistant gonorrhoea.
If you have doxycycline and amoxicillin, you should only be taking it when your infected and should be taking the full course prescribed to you regardless of no longer having symptoms.
Doctors are now doubling doses for gonorrhoea to make sure its fully killed and not getting resistant due to people not finishing their doses.
'''I don't think this is proper medical advice''' ... it is a proper medical advice from a doctor who knows very well the specific topic. Of course, doxycycline is not lollies so has to be used with common sense and of course not every week.
'''about amoxicillin''' ... again to say, is not lollies, so let's use common sense and also never mixed antibiotics. Amoxicillin should be taken the full course and only when needed.

Hmmm yeah nah - Doxy comes in two flavours pre exposure (PrEP) and post exposure (PEP)
Yeah, nah...
Doxycycline only comes in one flavour and multiple strengths, tho commonly pilled as 100mg.
Doxy-PREP and Doxy-PEP are merely different treatment approaches.
Doxy-PREP is the approach of taking Doxycycline continuously as a preventative pre sexual encounter(s), and then continuing to take it for up to 72 hours post last sexual encounter. Given the amount of doxycycline taken, the unknown risk possibility of building up tolerance and ineffectiveness, and the limited research available for this approach it is not recommended.
Doxy-PEP is the approach of taking it as a pre-symptom precautionary treatment in the 24-72 hours post sexual encounter(s) to knock any nasties potentially crossing your path dead in the early stages. There is significant published research at to the effectiveness of this as an approach in high risk groups (gay homosexual community)
