Any recommendations on the punting scenes in Thailand and Japan? Thailand is pretty much entirely a tourist attraction, and doesn't matter where you are - it's pretty easy to find something, but the main advice seems to be to stay alert for scams.
With Japan, I have also heard THC is very foreigner friendly, but has gaijin tax baked into their pricing. Otherwise, unless you know Japanese well enough and have a Japanese number to boot, it'll be tough for in-call places.
Delihealth seems to be the go-to option but still some extra work for foreigners.

So, I just got back from my trip and thought I'd report back on my experience.

TL;DR: We actually have it pretty good here in Australia, overall, as far as quality of girls versus costs of services and services provided.

Go-Go Bars at Nana Plaza and Walking Street - Don't Bother:
I went to few of them and struck out trying to pick up the 10/10 girls. I was 0 for 3 for these girls and--while I'm no Henry Cavill--I don't think I'm too terrible looking. While I am in my forties, I'm super fit and take care of my body, and went in there with the friendliest of demeanors. (Some of the other tourists I saw in Thailand were straight up dickheads that acted like they owned the place. There was one particular group that was very punchable that I saw at the beginning of one night. At the end of the night, one of the dudes was drunk as hell by himself walking the streets of Pattaya--I guess his friends ditched him. His wasted ass was stumbling through the streets at 2am and with no one around was just throwing his money into the air. Fucking dumbass. I grabbed everything he let loose which was a decent amount--like 7000THB.) Still though, no luck with the really hot ones. The hot ones got me to buy them some lady drinks but when I asked how much a ST or LT would be they'd either say "Sorry, I'm on my period" or "Sorry, someone's already booked me for today. Come see me tomorrow at 10pm" or other excuses.

Avoid the Galaxy Club Russian Go-Go Bar completely on Walking Street. They had a couple of strippers on the stage that were 4/10, at best, and probably weighed about 100kg of fat. I'm the type of guy to not leave a venue straight away--just have one drink as a courtesy, then leave. I should've left this place though. Moby Dick on stage was shaking her ass at me for a tip but I wanted to vomit instead. When I didn't tip her, the mamasan scolded me like, "It's generally polite to give a tip when a girl asks for one". Yeah, I'll give a tip if I enjoy the service. Just so I don't get blacklisted, I gave her a small tip then asked to pay my bill. I didn't even get through half my beer before I left cos fuck that place.

Sunk Cost Fallacy and everything I didn't want to go home empty handed for any of my go-go bar experiences, so one night I ended up picking up a 7/10 MILF which cost me quite a bit (from memory I think it was 5000THB for ST, plus the lady drinks I bought her beforehand, and I think the bar fine was 2000THB). The sex was probably a 6 or 7/10. We had a bit of time to spare for the ST so I bought her dinner and she explained to me that she's a single mother trying to make money to take care of her son and parents. I took her to a nice seafood restaurant and she was very grateful. It's always nice eating food that a local would recommend, and the dishes she ordered were outstanding (and the total bill was only like 400THB, from memory)

My suggestion in both these places is try looking for non proffesional girls. Specially in Thailand. If you have to find escorts or massage girls to drain your balls you can get this done in Sydney. I can give some insight into Japan as I’ve punted there numerous times before.
