I took too long to post a reply. It timed-out when attempting to post. Had to log back onto the website but invariably lost the post . Is there a way to retrieve it or save it as a draft till I've completed the reply?

Haha, how long does it take for you to write a post ? I’ve never experienced this problem.

Alternatively, you can write it somewhere else, like notes or email, then cut and paste it on Syd99. ;) ;) ;)

Be like bravo11. Write several drafts on WordPro. Triple check grammar, Italics, include a glossary and citations as well as references (Harvard style) and hyper links as needed.

Write your AR on a notepad. Take as long as you need to recollect the vivid details. Then copy and paste into AUS99.

DO NOT FORGET to delete the note on your computer.

Yeah have had this happen to me a few times. I've managed to recover what I wrote before by pressing back on the browser. Only works if the browser doesn't refresh the page. I now copy what I've written before I hit post, and if indeed it's timed out, I can just re-login and paste.

First thing to try, after logging back in, as mentioned, is to try the browser back function. Will take you several "backs" to get past the previous re-login pages. I've had good luck getting back when I was logged out while in a "preview post" or "go advanced" page, but perhaps that's just easier to see. If in a "reply to post", you might have to scroll a bit to find the post you're replying to and see if your draft is still there.

If a long post, I use an app, especially one that has a spell check function. Old school, lessons learned.

Bahahaha.... Hey if you forget, you can just say that you're in training to be a porno writer!

Thanks for the suggestions. Another solution is to take a screen shot on the phone.

There has been the occasion where I have been logged out . I was wondering what was going on ? Don't recall breaking any rules? The screen message would appear as ..... "i have been banned by the System Administrator" but subsequently after some considerable time i could log back in. Must be some limitation on the number of users at a time.
