Search function bad

Hi I find the search function not working properly and most of the time not letting me type in the characters on the verification image. Perhaps someone can guide me. Using iPhone

If you're logged in to your account, it seems you no longer needs to do a verification image for searching? Is there anything else that isn't working properly?
