Shops we never hear about: Pure Massage (Nth Syd) & Upmarket Bathhouse (Crows Nest)

I am just curious why some shops I frequented for many years until COVID hit us are never mentioned on this forum, while Ginza and similar are being talked about every day.

Two are Pure Massage in North Sydney and Upmarket Bathhouse in Crows Nest.

Is it because their prices are high for a massage?

P.S. in the old days, over some 15 years, I must have spent a fortune at Upmarket Bathhouse, probably more than the price of a new BMW or two.

I've thought about going to Upmarket before but like you've mentioned the price is definitely higher than other places and since I haven't seen recent reviews for it, have chosen to not go for now.

I guess, 1 hour $160 + $60 = $220. No idea if it is FS or B2B or whatever. Mind you, "full service" usually means FS.

Pure massage is ok. They're also very transparent with their full service prices. It's all printed and put in every room.

The upfront cost is more expensive but it covers the nude massage and happy ending. They literally immediately take off their clothes. No negotiations required. I like that sort of model.

It's a decent place for a punt but not blow your mind good. Go there if you're horny.

Most of the time the girls give good service. That’s why we call it punting - I don’t mind trying the new girls without an AR over at pure massage. I simply won’t come back to the girl if her service isn’t right for me.

Whilst I've never been, I always found Pure Massage to have an odd location. The entrance is right next door to a legit massage shop. But it seems like a low foot traffic area since there is nothing else on that side.
I believe the building is itself is up for sale, attached to the former HSBC on the corner which has been vacated for quite a while now. It was funny how the real estate information straight up states that there is a massage shop operating as a brothel!:D

Upmarket bathouse I used to frequent a year or two ago. Probably visited it twice a month at least. It was when I can’t decide where to go and in need a very good punt - there was this young redhead that I saw regularly, Ivy. Very good and very accomodating.
They’ve had an increase in their prices last year so kinda hard to justify forking the total amount for FS. Plus yea, Asian persuasion all the way.

Charging an upfront premium compared to other Asian shops probably doesn't help either.

Pure was very successful up to COVID, 5 years ago. I remember going there and the receptionist introducing 5 or 6 girls at a time to choose from. All young Thais.

After COVID, North Sydney died because most office staff (Pure's customers) were working from home 3 or more days a week!!!

$180 per hour, inclusive of nude HJ, is not expensive when you consider many other massage places charge $90 plus $100 for NHJ nowadays.

I used to go there regularly long time ago. I met a Thai massage lady on one of the shops who also worked at Pure Massage. I enjoyed this place as it allowed fs. I would get there in the mornings when they opened as this was a quiet time and the girl fresh. This girl would usually take the room on the top floor. The room had mirrors on the wall. Shower was outside. At the time massage rates were 130 for the hour and I would give 50 extra for the fs. I later changed time to 90min. As I was a regular with the ML she did not mind. She allowed LFK and one have job and one cfs. Have tried this again few years ago after a Christmas party. They still charged 50 for cfs. The massage prices were 140 or 150 can’t remember. Parking was in the shopping centre across the road. I have not been there so can’t comment about the talent there.

I think the problem with them is they're located in Nth Sydney. They were a good spot back when WFH wasn't so prevalent and COL wasn't such a big problem. Now they've been hit by that double whammy.

WFH killed many many businesses around that area because nobody went to Nth Sydney unless they had to work there. Ok, now they've built up lots of residential there, now what happens? Oh, COL comes along and nobody has any money to punt no more. They've been double whammied, one problem after another.

There's a reason most shops on the north side dont do rosters and photos visibly, because they'll get pumped by the council.

Has nothing to do with a lack of knowledge and everything to do with continuous reports and visits from council.

That's actually terrible. Last time I went there was years ago and the up front fee included nhj. They literally take their kit off as soon as you get on the massage bed. They were also very transparent with fs prices. It was $75 last time I went. It was listed on a piece of paper stuck in all the rooms.

It was why I liked the place. Fucking hate negotiating at a massage place if you saw how I got ripped off last time I went to a massage place.

If all this shit is happening then it means they're struggling and the girls are trying to squeeze some money out of punters cause they're not getting enough business from just normal traffic.

I wonder what went wrong for you?! It would be wise to ask at reception on arrival before paying, else simply walk out.

Just reconfirming my decision to stay clear of the "included" shops and stick with the non-inclusive shops. I just prefer dealing DIRECTLY with the manufacturer, no middleman required.
